Outstanding lawyer. Funny though I just read the rest of these reviews and what amazes me is that people that actually hired Auden as their lawyer almost always have great things to say - myself included. Auden is genuine, authentic, brutally honest at times, and advises you accordingly. I'll take those qualities of a lawyer any day as opposed to someone that dances around their words and sells you on services you don't need. Auden litigated my case against a big bank and where other lawyers were afraid to go into federal court swinging, he did it with passion and knowledge and took them to their knees. Thank you Auden. I highly recommend this law firm.

This so-called attorney is a big rip-off, funneling money that he steals from the poor into sadistic social engineering efforts. The last time I ever set foot in his office, he was sitting in the back cross-legged in front of a mirror, doing some kind of impression of the "clapping monkey" toy!

I understand the feelings and opinions of the people that posted those. Dalton Kirby's mom was murdered in Easley SC. Shortly after the tragedy Dalton posted on FB how he wanted the police to "FIND THE N word" that committed the crime. Very shortly afterwards he must have come in contact with the media and removed the post. He reposted and changed the wording calling the criminals "Scumbags". I wish that I could post the screenshot(yeah ..like a receipt)of his post. Now he asks the public for help!? On yesterday a close up was put out by the media. A close up pic of one of the guys. Can you believe that one is not BLACK? Again this is tragic,however it's WRONG...not bad judgement but wrong. As for Mr. Grumet..he did make a bad judgement call on trusting a personal associate expressing his thoughts on that horrible grammar used by Dalton Kirby. Reviewing the reviews you people are posting on his business that he built,not his personal life/business. Oh and by the way...the robbers of the store did not take anything. They killed Dalton's mom for no reason. I've read other comments on social media wondering what really happened . Meanwhile, Mr. Grumet people will say what they want just as you did. You have a business to operate. I believe 10 years plus? Racist comments(Susan Smith)vs comments about bad grammar! Good day people..help Dalton find his mom's "not BLACK" criminal

Being a lawyer, I would hope you know the first amendment (freedom of speech). I would give you zero stars, but Google won't let me! Not only are you arrogant but completely repulsive!!!! This "LAWYER" told a man, whose mother was shot during a robbery, that he should be shot as well for not properly typing or using correct Grammer. I would NEVER let anyone like you represent me. Maybe you should have some sympathy for others. YOU SIR are what's wrong with this world! With that being said, PLEASE threaten to sue ME! After seeing his rude...uncompassionate comment that he posted on Facebook about a victims son having bad grammar and that if the victim had grammar like her son...she should be shot...I would neeeeever pay this guy to represent anyyyy case!when you run a business... it pays to keep your rude comments off of social media...shame on you sir....your screen shot and rude comment is floating all over social media. If you are going to represent the public... you need to make sure that you treat people...victims...and their families with respect.

simply not impressed,,tried to retain this attorney for consumer issues(FCRA.FDCPA) by sending him several emails and leaving a voice mail,.nerver heard a peep from him or his office.....

Auden was retained on short notice to defend a lawsuit filed by an HOA alleging breach of the covenants and bylaws and seeking substantial fines, attorney's fees and other damages. Auden immediately reached out to opposing counsel to obtain an extension of time to respond to the Complaint, which was extremely helpful. Soon thereafter he filed an excellent response to the lawsuit, raising numerous defenses. He zealously negotiated and fought hard on our behalf for many months, and was finally able to reach a settlement that was very reasonable and far below what the HOA was seeking. Auden always responded immediately to any questions we had, and he gave helpful advice throughout the representation. The best lawyer you will find in the Atlanta area !

I retained Auden several years ago ago to help with an FCRA issue. During our relationship, it became apparent he was forgetting several details about my case and I had to continuously remind him. This wouldn't have been such a problem if he wasn't billing me $255/hour to read the emails I was sending him as reminders, sometimes explaining things two or three times. His bill showed he was charging anywhere from $25 to $102 to just read these reminder emails, while preparing a bill for me would cost $102.

I went through my initial retainer very quickly at this rate and the only thing he produced overall was two letters - one from a template. He sent me a bill with $110 left in my retainer. I told him I wanted to call things off so he sent me a new bill saying I owed him $365 unless I agreed to write a "very favorable review" on Avvo. I told him I couldn't write a positive review in good conscience but suggested we could call it even on the $110. He threatened legal action, so I sent him a check, left him this great review, and called it a day.

Since I posted this review on Avvo, Google, and Yelp, he's sent me a few cease and desist notices, threatening a restraining order, arrest warrant, etc.

His M.O. is to solicit positive reviews, and when he gets a negative review, he does all he can to suppress it. There's even a sample engagement agreement on his website which discusses his "policy" on negative reviews, which I believe is why you can't find a good balance of reviews here. Between forcing new clients to agree to his review policy and threatening lawsuits when they post a negative review, it's clear that he has his reviews locked down.

I'll leave you with this direct quote from his most recent cease and desist:

I also believe you would be subject to a restraining order and perhaps arrest based on your actions and violations of the various statutes as noted herein [and or others]. Frankly it is quite astonishing to me that you would be so careless and foolish to engage in these activities, particularly in light of the fact that you are very well aware of my professional expertise - do I really need to remind you that I have spent 18 years successfully litigating and prosecuting claims precisely such as these on behalf of clients (and occasionally myself)? It just seems so reckless that you would want to instigate one of the few people who are most able and motivated to do something about it (it should also be noted that your knowledge of the law or your intent is irrelevant).

Called the Law Office to inquire whether Mr Grumet handles construction law. The very indignant and condescending person who answered immediately asked how much money was involved. I interjected that he had not listened to what I was needing and that I wanted to come in and lay out all the info, documents etc, in an initial consultation. Again, in a condescending tone, he suggested that Mr. Grumet's retainer fee is $3500 and his hourly rate is $295. I again insisted he has not listened to my needs, nor issue an invite for a consultation. That I was not looking for an "ambulance chaser" or someone who was more interested in money, but someone who could help me with my needs, if not refer me to someone who is more on point with that consideration. Maybe my voice suggested I was ethnic, while I spoke up with , "I am an older gentleman, I understand how lawyers work". He then insisted that Mr. Grumet did not work on a contingency basis, while contrary info on "Find A Lawyer" says different.After all I had read and researched to find a lawyer who works on construction law, after all the positive reviews I've seen about him. It suggested in certain unspoken terms, my interests were not going to be addressed. I am appalled, taken back by my phone call encounter.

Mr. Grumet is very intelligent and hardworking attorney. He is somewhat expensive but he is worth it. He is very knowledgeable and attacks hard on opposite party. He is a winner.

Auden Grumet has the knowledge and willingness to listen and take on new tasks. Thanks to him we were able to retrieve some of the money from our former renter without going to court.
He would be the first one to recommend or return to in the future if we need real estate attorney.
