No one wants to ever need an Attorney, but when you do relevant to these kinds of cases I could not have chosen a better Attorney than Amanda. If you follow her direction, (In this case it was; "John, maintain your decorum.”) you will find that the odds of winning the case are much higher. Kirby Law Firm and I severed ties on December 4, 2017. I wrote them a letter to tell them exactly what I thought of their inept services, so this post should not come as a surprise. They probably wonder why it took so long. Kirby Law Firm served as an attorney on my behalf in name only. Period. Full-STOP!. When my boss asked, “Why wasn’t my attorney intervening on my behalf,” I knew I had to fight for myself. I would have saved money and had greater success without them. All of my allegations against my former boss were overwhelmingly substantiated with documented facts. Kirby’s group was too lazy, too inept, too disorganized, or too indifferent to review my documentation, which was evident by their unfamiliarity with the facts.

This was the first time I had ever needed an Employment Attorney. I could not have chosen worse. The only interest Kirby Law Firm ever had in my case was to collect their retainer. In less than 6 months, my “assigned attorney” changed 3 times without notice. I had to insist on seeing Mr. Kirby “face to face” when I was notified, via email, of the third attorney. I met with him and her a few weeks before she was scheduled to go on maternity leave.

I would not recommend anyone or thing to them. They are a group of blundering cowards. Their initial “weak” correspondence to my employer was ridiculed. They responded to Kirby’s 3 page letter (with typos) in a paragraph. I had to demand that Kirby submit another letter, which his firm asked me to review before sending. To make matters worse, my “alleged” attorney asked me to respond to the EEOC questions. I responded. With the exception of shortening my response, she submitted what I had written verbatim.

I would strongly urge anyone in need of an Employment Attorney to steer far away from this floundering group. My advice is, if you can’t advocate for yourself, you are screwed if you choose Kirby Law Firm. My job was saved and my job title was restored ONLY because of my efforts. If I had waited on Kirby, my job title would have been changed to a position with a pay grade 8 steps lower than I was hired…

Rachel was assigned to my case and she knew how to tackle it. I was going against a large entity, but through the communication and documentation collected, Rachel created a game plan that yielded victory. At the time, I had a great deal of stress because the other side tried to prolong the inevitable. In the end, Rachel was steadfast and we made the company settle. I hired Mr.Kirby G Smith in October of 2016 to handle an employment discrimination case. What he said in the beginning was totally different midway and toward the end of the case. It was almost as if he was working for the other side. I caught him in several lies, but from how the case went I wouldn't refer him to know one, midway through the case he acted like he was scared to fight. My opinion if you are a lawyer and is scared to fight just say you scared. I don't expect to get rich or get 100 percent of what I want but i do expect you to be honest and up front with people you will get more business and respect.
