These guys are the truth I used them in 2016 for my divorce and It was handled very speedily and most definitely professional. They did everything they said and I was very pleased with they're services and then I recommend them to my son and again they did a magnificent job and he was very pleased with their services as well. They are literally the best besy choice for divorce lawyers and they don't lie to you and most of all they are very affordable. Thank y'all so much for your excellent services!!! . I originally hired this firm in August of 2014 and they assisted me with my divorce of 20 years. I was so happy with the outcome and they did what they said they would. I needed them after the divorce for a enforcement of the decree and hired them August 2017. JR Obrien was my attorney and he was professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. I was skeptical because he was always reserved in court proceedings. But, when it came to the final hearing and how I saw him fight for me and allow me to speak up it amazed me. He didn't have much to fight for, but he fought for what I was agreeing to settle for. he handled my case with care and I will use him again and recommend this form to anyone. I am happy with the results for my case.

This law firm office is a joke I have been in there three times and he says the same thing over and over like he rehearse it this Law Firm is nothing but full with scam artists is just trying to get your money and want you to hear what you want to hear trust me when you go to the first meeting you will understand

If you are in a custody battle please look else where. My children were counting on me and I was counting on Richard who passed me onto Max who filed my paper work days after the deadline. They both talked a good game and when it came to I would have probably been better off by researching and trying to file for myself . I have yet to receive a call back every time. I am told my call my lawyer will call me back .No response to email as well these are peoples families at stake and for them to careless about it is upsetting .

They handled my divorce as well as later on with child custody !

I feel this law firm delivers exactly what it promises. During my consultation it was clearly explained to me that the low fee quoted only applies if the case remains uncontested. (If my husband decides to hire a lawyer the fee would automatically be over $2000 more.) I was given realistic expectations for timelines, including turnaround on phone calls, etc. You get what you pay for, it's as simple as that. If you have an uncontested case and follow instructions, they make the process easy and painless. If you have a complicated or contested situation, that will take more time, energy, and effort and therefore more money. If you need someone to hold your hand through the process, and require lots of one-on-one, you must be prepared to pay for that level of service AND I would recommend you find a different firm. This law firm is set up to process easy/typical cases in large volume. If you have your ducks in a row and just want a lawyer to process the paperwork, this is a good option.

Please do not use this law firm! Your nightmare is just beginning. Hired to do uncontested divorce. I am disabled and they have turned my life up side down .I think they made a deal with the other attorney! ! So incompetent! Not even basic reprensation..

So I hired this company back in 2007, my divorce went great. I had to hire them again a few months back. I have to say I am very disappointed with Richard Johnson because he will tell you exactly what you want to hear just to get your business and then when you are handed over to another attorney you get the "real story". All in all Max Lisle is AMAZING, he didn't sugar coat it , he got me what I wanted for the temporary order. The only complaint I have for this company is the sugar coating from Johnson and the time it takes to respond back. That's why I gave them a 4

This is my experience and is true, it happened so long ago that I couldn't get any benefit other than prevent this to happen to other people. I hired Roderick Marx for my divorce 10 years ago (I don't remember if he was part of this firm yet or not); back in those days, internet reviews were not as common as they're today and that's one of the reason (but not the only one) I decided to do it after all these years. I hired him because his ad said flat fee for "uncontested" divorce and it was cheap. I met with them probably a couple of times only, and he just asked me few questions regarding kids custody, child support and properties...I thought lawyers were supposed to advise the best option for HIS client but he didn't suggested anything or made any recommendations, he just filled up the papers according to my "yes" or "no" answers, few weeks later...when it was the court date, an assistant showed up (which I understand) and the process was over easily because my ex- didn't showed up either, so I was granted my divorce. Few years later I had a child visitation issues, and had to hire another attorney...when I showed her the divorce order, she was surprised when she saw I was paying child support even though my kids lived with me 50% of the time and we had shared custody, she told me I shouldn't been paying but since my ex- was having tough times I decided to keep doing it...now today I went to ask the child support office what I needed to modify my order because 2 of my kids are now 20 and 18 and the youngest one is now living with me full time, they told me I needed to re-open the case but when I asked if at least I could reduce the child support since my 2 kids are old enough, they told me I need to keep paying the same amount until my youngest is 18 or the court order is modified!!! They told me the way the divorce papers were written does NOT specify a reduction of the child support every time a kid becomes adult, is the same no matter what until the youngest is 18!!! What kind of attorney does that for HIS client??? So not only I WASN'T supposed to pay ANY child support all these years but now I found out I'm stuck paying for 2 adults and a kid that lives with me unfairly until I modify the order again. As you can see, he never worked on my behalf (even though I hired him), for him I was just another easy "money order". Be aware of the cheap attorney's fees, in the long run...it could be more expensive.

Every holiday Im reminded why I am disappointed in this firm. I was assigned to Richard Johnson in 2010. It was a very simple custody case where both parties agreed to joint custody. My ex husband didn't even have an attorney!!!!! Richard turned the case over to another attorney who really only cared about closing the case. I had a temporary job assignment to Houston and because I wasn't in the same county that would award managing conservatory to my ex husband who was still in Tarrant county. I received calls from the firm pushing me to close the case or they'd just close it for me. They didn't want to wait for my job assignment to end. I felt very threatened to close the case or he would just have the judge do it. Which makes no sense when my ex didn't have an attorney and no one was forcing us to do anything! In 2014 I had had enough of my ex being managing conservator because he is not fit for the position and has been struggling to care for my son. I went back to the firm to see if we could rewrite the order. There Richard sat down and said before we started the meeting he wanted to apologize for his behavior in 2010 and for not caring about his cases. He said he was going through a rough time and had to step back, but now he's in a better place!!! Thanks at the cost of my child!!!!! I was furious!!!! He then wanted to inform me it would be $2200 to go back to court to rewrite the order he just admitted to brushing under the rug! This company did not have mine or my child's best interest in mind and I feel very let down every day of my life. Please consider another attorney who isn't "going through something" and will be strong enough to handle a case when the other party doesn't even have an attorney!

It's not worth the heart ache later. Please get a divorce from a reputable attorney. They failed to fill a paper and my house stayed in both mine and my husbands name. Nightmare. They failed to include right of first refusal which should be standard in all custody cases. They don't care about the client. Don't go through a divorce and then a difficult situation in top of the divorce. Not worth it.

Took an extended lunch to meet with Richard Johnson only to wait 30 minutes and then be told he wouldn't be there for two hours and asked to reschedule. If he can't make a consultation I would be a fool to pay him to show up for a scheduled court date.

My experience with this law firm was enjoyable. My lawyer was knowledgeable and very understanding of the special accommodations my family required. My ex-husband contested every aspect of our divorce and still my lawyer fought to make sure that my children and I received everything that we needed. I highly recommend using this firm.

This attorney advertises a low flat-rate, therefore takes in a high volume of customers. That results in the assigned attorney not being able to spend the necessary time handling your case. You are not able to get in direct contact with your attorney for almost a week - this happens every time you reach out to their offices...even when you mention it is an emergency. You will end up paying the same costs as if you hired an attorney by the hour becuase their offices will not complete paperwork or file motions until you pay them more. The only time I ever saw my attorney was in the court room.

Half way thru my case I had to hire another attorney. I saw immediate results with my new attorney - they contact me from their cell and even text me. I am still reaping the the drawbacks of hiring Marx, Altman, and Johnson. I found out there were motions that were not filed on my behalf and many things I should have done earlier in the divorce process.

My advice is to hire a different law firm. Marx, Altman, and Johnson will only do the bare minimum to get you thru a divorce and if I would have stuck with them, there is no telling where my divorce would have landed me.

SAVE your money here. Will not return phone calls. Hangs up on you, will not help in anyway in your case! If you want to lose everything use this firm!!!
