Thank you all!
Firstly, this guy NEVER communicates. You have to call or email a hundred times before he replies once.
Secondly, this guy does not remember his clients nor does he cares. It's like he just wants the money and wants you to lose. If you call him, he doesn't even remember who you are. He has to go looking for folders to remember what your case is all about.
Thirdly, this guy is not aggresive , I mean he is weak. You cant win any case with him, better still represent yourself.
He is not willing to fight for you. He just wants the easiest way out. All the documents and proof I send to him, he didnt check one of them until court date. He doesn't even care about them..HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS CLIENTS VICTORY.
It's like he has a personal problem or something affecting him because even the way he talks is so lackadaisical.
You will never see him in person to discuss face to face. He always avoids this.
You will be left in the dark with him. I had to fire him.
Now, if you want to LOSE your case, Hire him.
Yes, dont say I'm not your client. This is Esther.
I originally had Kendall Goetz as my attorney in September 2017. She instantly filed with the Court on my behalf. I was very pleased. After some attempts at negotiating, a court date was set for November 2017. At court, we agreed to go to mediation. It took 7 months to get mediation scheduled, as opposing counsel would not cooperate. Not a good sign.
Days before mediation, my attorney left the firm. I thought to myself, that’s very odd but it happens. The firm then scrambled to try and pick up the pieces. I was asked to come in on a Saturday to “catch them up “and meet with Mr. Housewirth to discuss my casw
Luckily, when I left mediation I had a mediated settlement agreement that I felt covered all the issues where I was concerned for the safety of my child as there had been several emergency calls involving police, CPS, and my child’s father refusing to return the child to me, leading up to this point. Opposing counsel was supposed to prepare the final order after mediation. It took 6 months before an order was produced. There were several things left unclear and not worded correctly to accurately reflect what was agreed to at mediation. Before corrections could be requested, the paralegal AND associate attorney both left Schreier & Housewirth, leaving me with just Mr. Housewirth. At this point, it was clear there was something terribly wrong with this firm, for that many employees to up and leave in such a short amount of time.
I repeatedly called, emailed, and went to the office in person to beg Mr. Housewirth to request opposing counsel revise the order or that Mr. Housewirth draft an order himself that was in compliance with the mediated settlement agreement. I also asked that Mr. Housewirth apply for a protective order on my behalf as my child’s father was continuing to misbehave. He did no such thing.
Finally, the Attorney General got involved because my child’s father was grossly delinquent in support. Once the Attorney General filed an intervention, then opposing counsel sprung into action and set a hearing to have the court sign the final order.
I continued to beg Mr. Housewirth to please be prepared, to please help me get a protection order, and the final orders corrected ASAP. Days before the hearing I went to the office and asked to view the proposed order that would be presented to the Court. I spent over an hour going through each paragraph specifically with my corrections.
The morning of the court hearing, Greg Housewirth was unprepared, scatter brained, and told me he only had 15 minutes to handle my case. He “had to go.” There were two very important parts of the order that needed to be clarified before entry with the court. Opposing counsel agreed to those two revisions! Finally something went my way! Everyone signed off on the order, the court signed, and we all went on our way. Then, I received a emailed copy of the order signed by the court. It did NOT have those two clarifications included.
It has been 107 days since the order was signed. I have sent 17 emails to Schreier & Housewirth, called 11 times, and went to the office in person 6 times (one of which the new paralegal was there but had the door locked, and refused to turn around and look at me standing at the door/windows), and I have had NO RESPONSE and NO EFFORT TO CORRECT THE ORDER.
I would not recommend this firm to anyone. The way this firm and Mr. Housewirth operate, it is beyond me how he is still in business.
I would highly recommend him and would definitely call on him again if the need arose.
Very friendly staff and it was nice getting to know the entire office. If I had questions, the staff made it very easy to understand.
I highly recommend if you are looking for a professional, friendly, and hard working attorney.
Greg shot straight with me from the beginning. He educated me on the CPS and their role in the case and also made sure I understood and was responsible for handling all expectations that arise with most CPS cases. I knew I had found the right Attorney as the consultation was conducted by Greg with sincerity and true care about my case, instead of a scripted sales pitch designed for most consultations.
Greg's genuine care for the case was also demonstrated by every person representing the firm,, from his partner, Attorney Holly Schreier, to his wonderful paralegals, and so on.
The sincerity and professionalism continued until the end of the case, with a winning result, due to Greg and his staff's dedication, honesty, attention to details, excellent communication, and the many combined years of experience representing North Texans in CPS cases.
I would not think twice about hiring Greg to represent me again in a Family Law case. On a selfish note, I sure hope I don't have to make that call again, but it is good to know that I have a go-to guy.
I highly recommend the Greg Housewirth and the Schreier & Housewirth Family Law Firm for any family law case you, or someone you know, may be going through. A professional, respected, reputable, experienced, and HONEST Attorney is not easy to find..
As a satisfied client , I suggest that if you're reading this, stop searching and give the firm a call........BP
Greg and Kelly really went out of their way to accommodate me for my court appearance due to scheduling issues. I even called Greg late one night to let him know I could not make it into court the following morning due to a flight cancellation. He was completely understanding and rescheduled me for the next suitable date the following week.
I would HIGHLY recommend using Greg as a divorce attorney and mediator if you are looking for someone who is personable, knowledgeable, and treats you as a person instead of just easy money.
When I first went to meet with Greg I was a mess. My ex had my two boys two in a half hours away from me and made my life tremendously hard when it came to see them, my ex also called CPS on me three time in less than a years span. Greg told me how to handle CPS, and to not let them intimidate me. My ex had a goal to keep my children from me, and his plan was to flee the state and never let me see my children again. Greg helped me put a stop to that!
We had multiple court dates and it sometime seemed never ending, but the continuous support from Greg and his team helped through all the nerve wrecking court dates. Greg did a great job presenting me as a mother and how the best interest of the children would be in my care, but I cannot tell you how amazing Greg's approach in court is. As my ex's second lawyer tried to use a strong and aggressive tactic to make me look wrong or bad, Greg left it up to my ex to show his true colors in court. Everything we did in the court room pertained to hard evidence and facts, and things we could not show proof of Greg as mention took the route of letting my ex shine the light he did want on himself.
After a year and a half of numerous court dates, appeals, and all my trial which was August of 2014 quickly came to an end just about a week ago. The man that came in strong ready to take me down didn't even show for final trial.
My children cannot be more happier to know that they get to stay with their mother, and no longer have to be let down by their father. It was almost bitter sweet saying goodbye at the court house to Greg and Kelly, as they have been so amazing through this whole thing.
I am beyond blessed by the work that was carried out for my family and there is no one else I would ever go to or send any one to but Greg. His many years of being a lawyer and in the system of law show when he takes your case on.
If you are looking for someone that will prepare you for court, be honest with you when it comes to your case, someone that is reliable! There is not one better in Tarrant County than Greg. Heck even if your not in Tarrant County he is worth the drive to see.
Thank you Greg and all of the team for all you have done for me!
