This "The Schill Law Group" is by far the worst firm you can hire! Save your money and look for a good law firm! I learned from my mistake, never relying on Google Reviews when trying to find an attorney. My family and myself decided to hired this firm to defend my cousins on a high profile case and I have to say "The Schill Law Group" did not do a thing.

Mr. Jeremy Huss was the attorney assigned to the case.The nightmare commence here! For two months he was trying to obtain all the files from the FBI which he said it was taking longer than usual. Then finally after being persistent Mr. Jeremey confirmed files were sent from the FBI. Here comes the interesting part! My cousin first court appearance Jeremey from "The Schill Law Group" was not present! When I found out he was not there next to my cousin to represent him on his first court appearance I called him immediately! He did not answer! I texted him with my frustration and my concerns, and he did have the courtesy to call back and apologized. He explained to me that in one email that he exchanged with the FBI he missed the date and didn't see it!

Prison First Visitation:
For several weeks Jeremy made excuse after excuse why he couldn't make it to prison to visit and interview my cousin. And finally when Jeremy made it to prison he couldn't see my cousin because he was late.

What attorney does not show up to court and makes it on time to visit their client??

Financial: When I first met with this law firm I explained my financial situation and we made special payment arrangement. Supposedly the Owner John Schill was a reasonable person to work with. When my second or third payment was charged to my credit card it declined; their accountant called and asked for payment. I said "sorry, can you please run my credit card Friday!? Fund will not be available until Friday". She said "okay". Then the same day "Mr John Schill "(Owner) called me and said It better be the last time a payment gets declined by your bank. I felt that when it came down to money they were very aggressive but when it came to help my cousin this law firm didn't show any signs of caring.

Finally, my family and myself decided to fired this firm due to lack of interest in helping my cousin. We requested a refund! It took them three weeks to figured out all the hours they supposedly worked on the case! They sent a certified letter with a breakdown greater than the amount we gave them. We gave them a total of $8,000 and they came with hours equalling $11,000. In other words they kept all the money for doing nothing!

Again, save your money and hire a real honest firm. These people are only after your money!! They are rude! They onced called me asking for my cousin (the one in prison) and I said, " this is his cousin". They just slammed the phone on me! I called back and complained, their excused was the person who called accidentally pulled the cord. Sure! I know what I heard!

These guys are the best friendly and professional. They answered my questions fast and put my mind at ease. If you need a attorney give them a call.

Tammy was awesome! I had spoken to John a lot when I retained the firm. However, after that I had several questions, so I was directed to Tammy, the Office Manager. She was awesome, and address all my concerns! Now only do I have a great attorney, I also feel like I have a friend in Tammy!

This was the most stressful and unprofessional experience I've ever had!! I don't even want to give them the one star that is required to leave a review, they deserve less!! After hiring this Law firm an hour later I decided not to proceed with services. I contacted them directly via email to let them know that I could not afford services and not to proceed with my case as it was not in my budget being that I am a single mother on a fixed income. I was in a desperate situation to retain an attorney as soon as possible for an upcoming hearings. After reaching out to family, my mother agree to pay the retainer to help me during this already stressful time. once the fee was paid I later filled out some paperwork sending it in via email. Immediately I retracted my need for serivces with Schill Law an hour later!! They refused to credit my mom's bank account back!! NOT ONLY THAT- they called my mother in a threating manner while she was at the bank and harassed her!! School law claimed they did so much work on my case and that a refund would NOT be given. A retainer that was just given to them several hours earlier. How could they have done so much work in so little time? Only thing I did was explain my situation in which John had no problem in taking my mother's money and now will not refund it. I feel taken advantage of, lied to, and not to mention harrassed! That is no way to do business very unprofessional! I'm going to contact the state bar to inform them of the lengths Schill law has gone to keep my mother's money and did nothing for my case! What a scumbag to take advantage of a single mother in desperate need of protecting her child, and an elderly woman(my mother) while at her bank!!

Worst listener I've ever encountered. John Schill returned my call for a consultation - He did 95% of the talking. I couldn't get many details of the situation out because he interrupted so much. He was way too quick to recommend a course of action, and didn't bother to listen to an explanation of why I thought a different, but similar course, was better. He even criticized my idea as "stupid" (his actual words) without actually bothering to hear my rationale. I believed that had I engaged his services that he was likely to try to strong arm me into decisions that I wouldn't want. My phone shows our conversation lasted just a few short minutes, but I was so off-put that a google review to warn off others from the same experience seemed warranted. After reading other google reviews, I was not surprised to hear stories of others being strong-armed by this firm into agreements for fear of losing their representation at critical phases of their matter, or for fear of having to spend beyond their means because they were not only fighting their circumstance, but they were fighting their lawyer too.

Great service

I hired Schill Law Group in the midst of a very tough custody battle and divorce. My wife was withholding my child and controlling all access for me and also putting false allegations against me as well. David Yuhas worked very hard in his council and representation to negotiate unsupervised visitation for me as a father. Next was the Temporary Orders hearing. David negotiated an agreement with my wife's attorney that resulted in a very favorable outcome which gave me both meaningful and bonding time that was invaluable between me and my daughter. Given that fact that my daughter was only 8 months old, David was able to achieve all of this for me as a Father/customer. If there are any Fathers out there in a similar situation, I would highly recommend Schill Law Group. They are professional, fight hard for their customers, have great communication and much more that I can list here. Finally, they are also affordable. I would give them a 6 star rating if I could. Update added 1/26/20: The case ended up proceeding to trial. David Yuhas did an outstanding job and worked night and day on my case. He was very involved, every step of the way. This law firm is a total rip off! I was appointed an attorney that started my case off in the right direction. Then I was given Rita Roberts who lost my entire case. This lawyer is not a family lawyer. I was railroad to agree to a stipulated order that never landed me to see my son and she intentionally told the other counsel my situation that violated client-lawyer trust. This firm firm supports cops who are crooked but not the average people who works hard to maintain a living. Also she will set things up that are a conflict of interest. If you want to fight for your family, stay away from this firm as they need to be exposed for taking people money from people they think don't know the law. Wonder how it feels when your out a job.

Let this review show that this firm has no means of reaching out to explain withdrawing from my case which shows that the firm intentions was to take my money and make it harder to see my son. The owner has yet to reconcile this matter and responded to protect his reputation. This firm is not for black people

We were appointed Keith Evans for our parenting time / child support re-calculation on behalf of Dad. He saved the case that had become a mess. We would have him again in a heartbeat. Blew us away at trial (wow!!) and we had so many wins at trial that we asked for (which is not easy for a Dad in this state). Always walked us through things and answered the phone or called us back pretty quickly. He was great and easy to work with. He knows his stuff and laws for family court. Thank you Keith!!!!! Mr. Shill was great in the initial set up meeting as well. That was the only interaction we had with him. There is another guy there that I can’t remember his name and he helped with the contract and some other stuff, I know he is a veteran but he was amazing as well.

We had just moved into a new neighbourhood and settling down and were constantly bothered by our new next door neighbor. There was always one thing after another and finally she filed a civil case saying our dog was vicious asking the county to put down our 4 year old German Shepherd since he had the nerve to go after another neighbor's dog as she was walking by in front of our house. There was no injury or a hair missing on anyone but that did not make any difference. The county came and took away our dog and gave us 15 days to prove otherwise or that our dog would be put down per the plaintiff's case.

We learned about The Schill Law firm through a friend of ours and are so happy that we availed their services to represent us. We looked at their online reviews and their expertise in handling similar cases and thank the day we signed up with them. Once we explained to the Schill team the urgency of our situation, they quickly got all the facts and immediately got working on our case. They were available via email, text and phone whenever we had any questions any time of the day. Our case was very well presented by Jacie Cotterell with a good cross examination of the witnesses. She was able to present that the neighbour had a frivilous case. Needless to say the plaintiff's petition was dismissed and we got our dog back safe and sound.

Law firm does not care about children, their well being or their future. If you choose this firm do a retainer vs flat. They may assist you more with that way, but would not recommend for family cases. Their interest are far from assisting you in and for the well being of children and yourself. Seek elsewhere if devoted in your values and beliefs.

I worked with Keith for about 6 months after 3 years of litigation with a different Lawyer. Keith was available to me... Stepped up to the plate with every question and concern for a reasonable fee.
