I was NOT impressed by this law firm at all. Promised to walk me through everything or told me to call with any questions.. never received calls back, never was able to call on them when I had questions. I honestly had NO CLUE what I even paid for.. would not recommend this lawyer. It’s like they took my money and I spoke to them maybe 2 times.. wouldn’t recommend this lawyer or firm to anyone needing someone on there side, or someone to be there for them if they have questions. Highly disappointed

Con man mark hammer charged me 1200 to represent me which was fine he said 5500 if we was to go to trail. I paid him the 5500 in case we went to trail. However we didn't go to trail because i pled guilty. I ask him and his wife for the 5500 back they said i wouldn't get that back because of there time and they would send me list of expensives which they never did. The 1200 i paid them was for all the continuous that they kept gettn me... Back to trail money they never sent me list of anything just 2000 back of the 5500.I worked hard for that money that they riped me out of all together 6700 just to plea guilty I was con. Be aware you guys

Mark Hammer a Saint Louis Attorney,, is both a theif and a liar. He completely fits the stereotypical shyster lawyer. I hired him in 2016 to try and get a reduction in sentence for my Brother who is serving 2 conservative life sentences for something he did not do. I live way out of State. He quoted me $5,000 to investigate, $12,000 if he thinks he can get him out. After giving him the $17,000 he said he needed $2,000 for an investigator which I immediately sent. That was early 2016, It was the end of 2016 before even talked with my brother, come spring of 2018 he still hadn't done anything, and then tells me they found out, 2 years later, that because of the nature of his cinviction, he is not eligible for a reduction in sentence. Then to try and justify the money they're said they were going to right a letter requesting clemency. My brothers in prison on sex-related charges no Governor in the world's going to give him clemency. I filed a complaint with the Missouri OCDC Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel complaining that Mark Hammer was not returning $12,000 dollars. In Mark shyster Hammers response he came up with all this bogus list of names , none of which we never even heard of. Again to justify all that money, On the phone he lied straight to my face. Said he had a hundred twenty five hours in. Hadn't filed one paper and every single time he went to talk to my brother in person, which was four times, he told my brother and I that they would be talking to him when they had other business in Jefferson City. But on the phone when I was arguing with him to return my money, He said that he went to Jefferson City specifically to see my brother which was a lie to Bill me more money. Then when I received this response from the OCDC, he claimed that he quoted me $25,000 to work the case at $350 an hour. I would never hire a lawyer for that kind of money it's ridiculous, he's a liar. He also lied to OCDC that I hired him for new evedence to prove innocence but there is no new evedence , what evedence, it was a reduction in sentence , period.... This is a horrible human, and liar and thief. My reply to OCDC will be he is lying which will just be a "he said she said." So,,,,,, don't use this lawyer, he's a shyster. I WILL GLADLY TAKE A LIE DETECTOR TEST TO PROVE I'M TELLING THE TRUTH

THANK GOD FOR MARK HAMMER! I cannot begin to explain in words how thankful I am that I contacted the Hammer Law Firm when I found myself facing criminal legal charges. These are the important things about my experience that I will pass on: 1) I was treated with complete respect and never once felt any judgement from Mr. Hammer or his staff. I was referred to Mr. Hammer by someone else. I called him and he asked me how can he help me. I was trying to tell him the nature of the situation (it's very sensitive information that could potentianlly end her life and others if placed in the wrong hands). He kept cutting m ooe off and not allowing me to finish my sentence. He interrupts me again and says, "I can't take this anymore" with an attitude and asked for her name. I gave the first name, but it had nothing to do with the question I had. His answer to it would have given me the information I needed to proceed with him for criminal defense or another type of attorney. Too bad I didn't get to ask; he hung up on me. I have never had a lawyer hang up on me. He's supposed to be a professional individual, but hangs up on you like a child. I'm already super sensitive about the situation because it's potentially life, death, or prison time for something she is being coerced and forced to do to get their dirty work done. He needs to learn how to L I S T E N !!!! Many people in the same situation are very broken and overwhelmed. Patience is very important and he needs to work on his before hanging up on a potential client.

I hired an attorney to help me with my case. Never being in trouble before, I didn't know exactly what to look for. The attorney I hired let my bond be revoked because he didn't inform the courts that I moved (even tho I gave him a month's notice in advance). While I was in jail, my fiancee found Mark Hammer, talked with him, and hired Mark on my behalf. Within a week or so, he had my bond reinstated, and a charge dropped. He kept me well informed on everything that was going on, and made me feel like I wasn't alone. When it was time for trial, Mark fought tooth and nail for me, and made the prosecuting attorney look like an amateur. After closing arguments, it only took the jury a little over an hour to return a not guilty verdict. Mark made me feel comfortable being in that setting. His knowledge and determination on winning is well worth his fees. I would recommend Mark to anyone that is going thru a similar situation!!
