Christen Shepherd is the best money I’ve ever spent!!
Not only did she take on my case as a new attorney 20 days before my court date (after wasting time with a different lawyer for 18 months) she delivered & helped me get everything I wanted and what was owed to me!! I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking help in a custody/divorce battle!! Christen shepherd I can not express my appreciation enough for your hard work and compassion! Unfortunately almost two yrs ago I had to look for a divorce attorney, luckily for me I found Ms Shepherd. I put her in the middle of a very difficult and long divorce/custody case, she stood by me side the whole time. Her fees were very reasonable and at times throughout the process when I was short on funds she was very patient and worked with me. I would recommend Ms Shepherd to anyone. Thank You Christen.

While looking for an attorney for my child custody case, my boyfriend came across Christen's office and many GOOD reviews. I gave her a call and was able to speak to her immediately over the phone about the matter. She is very knowlegeable and completed my case in a timely manner. Her fees were absolutely fair and manageable. Communication with her through the court process was very easy. I am pleased to have worked with her and would recommend her to anyone.

Awful as i read these reviews, I can see that she has the same response several times. Word for word. Four different entities? Lol! You can do one simple jobs alot of times with just one phone call. Not even have to leave your desk. Been threw it have hired lawyers. Custody case was taken care of with two phone calls and not leaving the desk. Not appearing in court. Two calls only because the first one was busy and was told to call the next day. Entered as appearence over the phone stipulations written pushedvhard on other attorney faxed signed and done.
Her reponse is the same except for twice i think. Responses even gave a bad impression. I was looking for an attorney. Glad i read the reviews. Only looking for a new one cause my other attorney has recently retired. He will deffinetly be missed. Now i have to worry about seeking out an attorney and getting one like this. Oh my!

I have hired this firm paid up front on my matter an have had nothing done other than a few papers filed I get no e mail response no one ever calls me back have left voice mails an get nothing in return would not hire this firm or recommend them been the worst experience with a lawyer yet

Very nice lady. And she moves fast. Called her and told her my story and she had me set up for a appointment that day. I had been working with Legal Aid, I had a great attorney, but my income changed. Legal Aid could no longer assist me. And like a Angel here came Attorney Shepherd. Her prices are very competitive. This woman is a blessing!

BEST LAWYER EVER!! Mrs. Shepherd has been AMAZING!! My hubby & I had retained another lawyer originally & we were basically taken advantage of by him! I called around, found Mrs. Shepherd & not only did she do an outstanding job handling things, she cleaned up his mess too! If you want a lawyer with GREAT care, integrity, concern, compassion, honesty, dedication & understanding then she's your lady! We are forever grateful for her!

My son hired this lawyer in February on a custody issue. The original papers were served and nothing has happened since. My son has called several times but never received a call back from either Ms. Shepard or the assistant. Now he just wants his money back but the assistant informed him that Ms. Shepard is either out of town or in mediation, so my son said he will call her everyday until he gets his money returned. He was told that even though he is NOT talking to the lawyer, he is still charged EVERY TIME he calls. A complaint has already been filed with the OCDC. She is a worthless attorney and does NOT need to be practicing. As always, less is not more......spend the money to hire a GOOD lawyer. Wish we would have seen these negative reviews before we hired her. Now, I know I will get the automatic response from her office, that they are sorry that he did not have a positive experience, they take this seriously and will be used as a training tool blah blah blah. Who the heck responds with a form letter??

If I could give a -1000 stars I would. I am just wondering if anyone had the same bad experience that I did with this attorney. From the beginning she seemed to be on the opposing side all the time- never contacting them back and then having sanctions against you for not doing her job and telling you everything is okay. From day one she told me I do not tolerate people that won't take care of their responsibility and I will fight hard for you. Anyone that has been fighting hard is my BANK ACCOUNT. She has taken me for everything I have. She cares more about seeing how much money she can get from you than caring about taking care of you as a client. I can almost bet that all of her cases go to trial because that is where the money is. I had been in a simple case that should not have taken long at all, but all her excuses and lies the case went just about years. Don't worry she says she is contacting the other attorney and things will be resolved, don't believe her, she wants everything to go to trial so she can make the big bucks and you get screwed in the end. She loves to lie to her clients when she first meets them then refuses to contact them. She has her secretary tell you lies all the time. When her paralegal asked for all my documents and Christen Shepherd saw how much money I had in my account, there was no talking anymore, from that moment she knew she was going to trial. If I had $100.00 to my name I bet she would not have even bothered with me. If you have had an experience that you had a case with her and went to the bar associations please let me know if that even helped you.

Poor communication, lack of attention to detail and time sensitive issues, absolutly nothing achieved or any progress made in over a year.

This attorney will take your hard earned money and get you nowhere. I've been in a very simple legal matter for over a year and she is intimidated by opposing counsel and accomplished nothing. Thousands of dollars and nothing to show for it. Please do yourself a favor a find another attorney, before making a HUGE mistake and hiring this one.

It's really disheartening to have to write a poor review of an attorney or business, but if it helps someone else from being taken advantage of, then it serves its purpose. Ms. Shepherd was inept and unable to even have a hearing scheduled properly and told us when a hearing was set and when the day arrived... Oops, it wasn't. Be prepared to follow-up with her and call and follow-up and pay more for absolutely nothing. You'll wind up with a lot of money spent and looking for new counsel. Now having to report this attorney to Missouri Bar Association.

The Best lawyer. She is Always available shows compassion & understanding to her clients case. I am so blessed I got her for my Attorney. Best money I have spent. Even though my divorce was final last yr, she is still helping me with getting what is mine. She is a 24/7 lawyer that never stops.
