I was recommended to use this law offices by a friend in Colorado. They didn't do much for me and when it came to mediation the numbers they calculated for child support we're not even close to being accurate. They didn't fill out the worksheets accurately. I interviewed two lawyers prior to meeting Gordon Shayne. I knew instantly he was far more of an expert in divorce matters than his counterparts. After hearing the details of my situation, he had an intuitive sense for exactly how my case would proceed and recommended exactly the right financial expert to appear on my behalf. He kept me out of court---which would have cost me several 1,000's of dollars more. I trusted him entirely, followed his advice to the "T" even though I had many
moments thinking I could maybe "pay less, do less, argue more, be tougher, demand more, be emotional, etc." During Mediation/Arbitration (and long before to be honest) he "read" opposing counsel so insightfully that sometimes I actually feel guilty that the other side wasn't a better opponent and/or better prepared. Bottomline: I have the MOST INCREDIBLE, BEST POSSIBLE, UNHEARD OF outcome from my divorce after a 28-year marriage and I thank Gordon, his office staff and his financial expert for it!

Gordon is in my opinion the best attorney in the springs by far! not only did he go above and beyond but he got the custody I wanted and my son deserved. the office manager and paralegal never shut me down or off. if I had a question I emailed or called and got a response immediately even if it was after business hours. they were very fair with prices and able to work with my schedule and even making payments. 10 out of 5 stars. Gordons 37 years of experience definitely showed when it came to crunch time and the other parties attorney didn't know squat.

My experience with the Law Offices of Gordon N Shayne has been phenomenal. The whole staff is exceptionally great and understanding. I have had the pleasure of having Gail, Susie and Sherry work with me. Helping me understand the legal statutes in Colorado. My case is based in Florida and due to unexpected circumstances, I needed to hire an attorney in Colorado Springs, Co. After reviewing multiple law firms, the Law Offices of Gordon N Shayne stood out the most... why? Because of (1) Customer Service (2) Understanding of Family Law in The State of Colorado and (3) Reasonable Fees. Every email, every call and concern was always answered with enthusiasm and care; they truly care for their clients. Furthermore, when I met Gordon, I can attest he was/is a true gentlemen with years of legal knowledge. He is, in my books, a true attorney. He came to my hearing extremely prepared, handing me a manila folder with pointers and references I might need in case I get nervous or cold. He went over my whole case file (which is from Florida) and for an hour and a half, he told me exactly how everything might play out; he took me by the hand and walked with me play by play to know what to expect. Our hearing was scheduled for 20 min each side and took about 2 hours, so it was a little complicated, but the end result was satisfying. Gordon is very straight forward and he wont waste your time. This was a horrible experience and I totally agree with all the "unfounded" reviews on here. My son had a relocation case involving his 4-year-old son and the son's mother. I totally expected to lose this case, meaning I knew she would probably get to move with him. What was surprising and frustrating was this office's total lack of trying to do anything we asked them to. I was told I would be given documentation when it was available, which I have not seen. Opposing parties still have not supplied documentation that was court ordered (at least that we have seen) and this office doesn't seem too worried about getting them. I thought when we hired counsel they would work for us, not the opposing party. We never expected to get our way on everything but we did want to be fought for. Gordon's office worked out a child support agreement with opposing counsel and told us how it was going down without ever speaking to my son, his client, about it, just let us know that it had been filed with the court. I am seriously considering calling the Attorney Regulatory Counsel about them. And if this gets called unfounded, I have all my e-mails for the 4 months this has been going on.

This office was incredibly helpful and professional in all aspects of my interactions with them. I feel they are working in my best interest, they advised me NOT to file a case when it was prudent, and then still backed me up when it was pushed from the other side. Horrible. On initial consult he was short and brief and said that was it for his time! I went with the group anyways for a separation and then only a couple weeks later decided to withdraw my case and work on things with my spouse. Nothing had been filed and I had only dropped off the financial statement and they charged me $700! When I told them I felt I was way overcharged they couldve cared less and his wife Sherry (the "office mgr") even hung up on me. Not to mention for the initial consult I had no resort but to bring my 2 young children 1 who was recovering from cancer and Gordons wife acted like my children were going to ruin their couch with a peppermint! No concern for client, children, family or compassion and way overcharges!!!!! I find it funny how his wife writes a review in defense of a negative one. Sounds accurate to me about the rudeness. Im not sure who is ruder. You would think with how much the firm charges they would be a little more considerate of the clients!

The Law offices of Gordon N. Shayne were a light during a dark time. Divorce is not an easy process and luckily I didn't have to go through it alone.
