They are a blessing to HAVE, when you need help with evictions or civil case! They offer a fee waiver to the poor, and underpaid. There office answers your questions and they give you the info you need. If you ever got a 5 day notice to move or vacate, this is the place to start! It's conveniently located just 2 blocks from bus station downtown. They are located on the 1st floor, near where you enter at to the left.
You show them your notice and if you are low income, they give you a fee waiver to fill out. Its a couple hundred dollars to send a reply to your rental company/court cost. After they check your paper, they send YOU upstairs to get a number, and wait for your #,
You present either your payment to answer the eviction or present your fee waiver paper.
The person tells you the owner/landlord cant file a ANSWER til 5 days from you filing. After the landlord answers after 5 days, you then wait for a court date another 7 to 10 days. That's when you go to court to either pay or present a defense to why you haven't paid. Entire process took about 20 mins. This office is here to help if you need it and follow through with taking care of your business!

Thier is help but really renters have no laws 4 protection no 1 tells you court cost & lawyers you cant afford all these agencies make exscuses unless you r almost broke 15 min with lawyers is great but can u really help with limited knowledge or invested in a strangers abuse where lawyers from Apt. Mzngers,Corporations have better paid & more lawyers. Eviction is really corporate judges don't care. City comes & he as lth dept see mold no AC ,excessive roaches fake writing them up numerous times. Your mayor,congressmen,city official we r like homeless in ch invisible,unworthy until voting

The best place to visit in Clark County when you need forms, legal assistance packages, want to speak with an attorney concerning your questions & obtaining guidance, and just receiving more assistance then I thought possible. The folks that work there are always pleasant, smiling, understanding, so nice to speak with, and always have an answer or can guide you to a source or the person who is able to assist you further.
