I went to Casey back in November right after I was arrested for a DUI, so I cannot personally speak on the Family Law side of things. However, Casey was incredibly unhelpful with just about every aspect of my case. I informed her from the beginning that I was soon moving cross country, so when it came to court dates and whether or not my appearance was necessary, I needed to be informed so that I could make flight and hotel arrangements in time. I had to reach out to her constantly to try and get updates on my case and what was going on with it, and a healthy 95% of the time my calls and messages were ignored. 3 weeks before my court date I asked Casey if I needed to be there, and got no response. Then a week before my court date I reached out again, and to no surprise, she read my message and never responded resulting in me buying a plane ticket and getting a hotel that I ended up not needing. (And the only reason I found that out was through a new attorney) There was no hesitation on her end when she asked me to leave a 5-star review for her, but when it came to getting any bit of information on my case and what was going on with it I got nothing. I ended up having to hire a new attorney and when I reached out to Casey to see if any bit of what I paid her could be refunded, being as we are only at the very beginning of my case, she immediately called just to see what other attorney I went with, and ignored my refund inquiry. So, in my honest opinion I would go with just about anyone else because she talks a really good game when you meet her, but after paying her $3,250, I was left in the dark on everything, ended up wasting another $800 between a flight and hotel I didn't need, and $2,500 on a new attorney.

I honestly do not know what I would have done if I did not have Casey as my attorney through my divorce! If you are looking for someone compassionate, with high moral standards, and tenacious to handle your divorce or child custody, this is THE law firm you want. Casey Martin and her staff have helped me every step of dealing with a contentious divorce, and fought for the best outcome for my children. They have always been reasonable, punctual, and take concerns seriously. The staff is great about communicating and keeping up on filings, etc and i never had to wait for a call back. Family law cases can be so emotionally-charged and frustrating but having an attorney who is the best in her field helped. I know a divorce or custody case is never really “easy”, but Martin Law Firm made it the smoothest they possibly could. There weren’t frivolous charges, dragged out trials, or anything like that. I would (and have) recommend without reservation that anyone looking for an attorney with your best interest at heart, go consult with Martin Law Firm!

They would get no stars if I could do it. The B.S. all started with my first court date. She sent me the information and I showed up (putting off my new job start date to be there) only to find that it was cancelled for some reason and I was never told. I started with Cassie but after that incident I got handed off to Jeffrey who in short told me that I'm a bad mom because I wanted to move out of state WITH my kids and he knew I was going to lose the move away order. He gave me no choice but to settle for the "visitation" so that I would be able to get my kids when they weren't in school. He told me that there was no chance I was going to win against my ex-husband. My other case for my oldest daughter should have been an easy slam dunk win because her dad was nowhere around for a year and a half up to me leaving but he showed up last minute to court and lied saying that he had always been there. I gave my lawyer the proof to provide and it was nowhere to be seen and I still lost move away order. He didn't know my case when it came time for questioning and I was made out to be a selfish person and a bad mom. They were terrible about communicating with me about what was going on and sending me the minute orders after court. They even asked me for my address like 5 times before I even got rude about it. I love my kids and I moved back to this hell hole for them and now I'm fighting to even see my kids here. The only time I had seen Cassie was when I signed her as my lawyer until my last hearing... she was there to represent someone else and me and Jeffrey were talking so she walked up she shook my hand and introduced herself. Jeffrey quickly reminded her who I am and she apologized and said I looked different because of something I did with my hair (but it was down like it always is) and she walked inside the courtroom. Maybe they are good in some areas but not when it comes to family. I felt like I was misrepresented and another lawyer I spoke with agreed.

I had been fighting a felony case for almost 4 years. I hired Casey Martin approximately a month ago. She stayed in contact with me and answered all communication promptly. She represented me in court and was very professional and firm. Casey negotiated on my behalf with the DA who previously was unmoving.
