Mr. Proffitt worked tirelessly on my case involving an auto accident. It took nearly 20 long months for the insurance companies to settle but they finally did. I have an issue with a stolen credit card and went to the internet to find lawyers that handle that type of case, and Proffitt and Cox popped up. I called their office on 8-22-19 to schedule an appointment and this is what I was told.
" Our lawyers are busy. I'll pass your information to them and they will decide if this is something they want to get involved in . If they are not interested you will not hear from us." I asked if this meant that I would not be receiving a return phone and she said "yes".
How's that a caring and customer oriented response!

After the death of my son who was still born at 36w 6 d, it took me 6 months to get the courage to speak to someone on how my doctor mistreated me and my unborn son. Late for appointments by hours, brushing off my complaints of pain, and no ultrasound after getting into a small, but stressful, fender bender. He didn't catch the smallest tear in my placenta that could have caused my son's death a few short weeks later, even though I was having contractions and ended up have a c section anyway.
I visited a website to help find a malpractice lawyer. Next day I get a phone call from two different offices but only was willing to travel all the way to Georgia. My husband reenlisted into the army after our sons death, so we no longer lived in Columbia. Meeting Mr.Proffitt, I knew I could really trust him. I told him my long and painful story of the day my son died, and everything that happened three weeks before. He helped me through it and asked questions. Made the process a painless as he could.
Months later he would tell me that, though my Doctor didn't do what he should have, he did the bare minimum and could not be held accountable for his neglectful actions. I thought that was the end of it, but David wouldn't accept that. He pushed through hours of paperwork, medical history, and the painful story of My John's death. He wasn't ready to give up now.
He took every option to help us however we could, and noticed we never filed the car accident with our insurance, because a lowly police officer said that we shouldn't and never even wrote a report. Thanks to the EMS and Emergency room reports, he successfully had a way to file for a John Doe accident, since the driver of the other car drove away after going through a red light.
David Proffitt has given me hope for justice and for humanity. He could have just dropped our case once he knew there would be no malpractice lawsuit, but he didn't. He stuck with us to the end. He is an amazing lawyer and person. We we're lucky to work with him.
