I have used Mr. Delaney a few times over the years from personal family issues to medical ones. Each and every time he has been very professional and received the results we were seeking. I have referred several of my friends and they have been extremely happy with Mr. Delaney.

Negligence is the first word that comes to mind when it comes to Mr. Delaney representing myself in my case. I contacted his office both by email and phone to check on my case on a biweekly basis and was told there were no updates or changes. Come to find out he neglected my case for 5 months with no communication with the other attorney. I was put in a very stressful situation dealing with the outcome of this. There was no apology just excuses, defensive responses, and even asking for an additional retainer. The outcome of all of this was having to fire Mr. Delaney and hire a more attentive attorney to take over my case resulting in me having to pay even more money to be represented the way a client should be by their attorney. This was the worst experience I could have imagined in a simple case. I would never recommend Mr. Delaney to anyone.

In 9 years of litigation and 4 previous attorneys, I had never felt my case was in better hands than Mr. Delaney's. Mr. Delaney is truly a professional and very knowledgeable attorney. He is aggressive in the courtroom when necessary, but remains professional and dignified. Mr. Delaney's customer service is also impeccable. He treated me and my family with respect and provided information in every step of the case that was drawn out by the court system. Mr. Delaney was passionate about my case, understood my frustrations, and was never willing to walk away from the challenges the opposing counsel created. Mr. Delaney succeeded in obtaining what was best for my family and for that, I will be forever grateful.

If I could give a negative star rating I would. Not that going through a divorce is not traumatic enough, this man left me confused and lost. In 2017, he collected my retainer and then completely left me high and dry. He was hard to get in contact with. Didn't return my calls as if my case was not important enough for him. I had no idea what to expect and when I asked him over and over to explain it to me, he acted as though I was an inconvieniece to him. In court, he was not prepared. It was embarrassing when the judge had to corrected him regarding the details of my case. After it was over, he rushed to the elevator as I was trying to talk to him and closed the doors IN MY FACE. All he said was I will call you later... I couldn't believe it. And of course I did not hear from him... I always tell people the worst part of my divorce was Michael Delaney. I felt used and completely taken advantage of.

Michael Delaney got me custody of my granddaughter during a really bad time, even with CPS involvement! He was highly recommended to me and is highly recommended by me! I’ve seen him win impossible cases. Today I am in need of his services again, which brings me to this review. I have confidence in him.

Wow, what a magician! If you're looking for family law representation, you have found it. I was incredibly stressed, scared and desperate when I was served child support papers. I called multiple law firms but none of them seemed as concerned about my situation as Mr. Delaney. He Instantly instilled me with confidence. Mr Delaney got me custody of my son. Its tough for a man to win custody but i explained my case in detail and Mr Delaney said we had a shot. After a stressful year of fighting we finally won.. People just gotta be patient when it comes to these cases.. Let the man do his work... Takes time.. It aint cheap either.. Anywho Mr Delaney just wanna say thanks boss.. Michael Delaney is not to be trusted. He says whatever it takes to get you to pay the retainer and then once he has your money he is almost impossible to get ahold of. He was retained in September of 2016. It took him 4 months to even file anything. He quoted me $4500 to file for my child support and he would need to serve the mother of my child’s father because he was in another country. He had to resubmit the documents to the court multiple times because he was mixing my case up with someone else and the wrong information was on the affidavit. Then when the judge finally approved the alternative service to the mother, he asked me for another $1000 to complete the serving of the papers that was already agreed upon in the $4500. I was stuck with either paying that or firing him and losing the $4500 I already paid. He was very confident I’d get my lawyer fees back from the judgement so I paid him again. March I finally got my judgement after 6 months. He THEN informs me my lawyer fees will be reimbursed once he goes after them and that it is separate from the child support. So for months I followed up on him going after the lawyer fees and the last time we spoke he said he normally doesn’t go after them because the persons owed do not have the money but in my case because my child’s father does, he would see about doing that. Months have gone by and nothing. I call now to follow up and he rudely is cutting me off asking if I’m hiring him again because he’s not interested in pursuing what he said he was going to do. Why would I pay him again when he already blew off my case for months? And then said he would get my fees back and he didn’t. He’s a liar and unprofessional. Very disappointed in his services. There are other lawyers who will actually care about your case and take the time to do as they say.

Response: I paid you $5500 for an order of child support, and lawyer fees. What good is an order of lawyer fees if you don’t follow up for them? I understand lawyers charge for their work which is why I paid You. When I asked You what the next step was to collect you first said you normally don’t go after it unless you know they have money. We both know my daughters father does but you’d need an address. I called to give you the address then you rudely said you don’t go after it. Never once gave me the option to pay more to collect my $5500. I may have considered. You simply refused to and was very rude.

I hired Mr. Delaney for a case recently.. He did everything I asked and made sure to fight for what was important to me. He was also very straight forward, which I appreciated.

This attorney is a scam artist! Please do your research and see for yourself DO NOT HIRE! I made the huge mistake of being so desperate to fix my sitiuation since my child was getting abused and bought his sales pitch about "I'm the best there is ill have this fixed in less than a month etc" once he collected almost 3,000 he never did a single thing! Never even returned phone calls, I had to use different names under the impression of wanting to hire him to get him on the phone 3 years later after he changed his number and address from so many people he scammed I tracked him . He was shocked and promised to make everything right ans asked me to come in the next day. He promised me only 8 hours of Credit and that he would call me the next day and guess what! He didn't! After blowing up his office phone all day every day he had his secretary call me and say he wasn't going to do anything he wasn't paid to do because he wanted a total of 10k when the original agreement was to modify my court order for the total I had paid in 2014. Then she claimed he went to court did the work etc but we just didn't need to be present or know about it but the work was done. IT'S NOT! HE EVEN MESSED UP MY COMMUNICATION WITH THE CHILD SUPPORT OFFICE AND REFUSES TO WRITE A LETTER OF NON REPRESENTATION BECAUSE HE IS STILL REPRESENTING ME SINCE HE NEVER DID THE WORK! THIEF! CLASSIC SCAMMER TOOK MY MONEY AND KEPT IT FOR NOTHING. HE IS ABOUT TO GET DISBARRED FROM SO MANY GRIEVANCES AND FRAUD IN ONLY ONE OF HUNDREDS. PLEASE DO NOT HELP KEEP MAKING THIS EVIL MAN RICH. He's a liar. Check his facebook first. If you are a woman trying to get full custody, even if your ex is abusive, he will allow your ex to get as much visitation as possible. This attorney is absolutely terrible! I highly advise you to NOT hire him. I had the worst experience because he didn't know how to do his job correctly. He doesn't return your calls and he doesn't review your case before going to court. He is very unprofessional. He came to court unprepared, and he didn’t even know the age or gender of my child. After court, he went behind my back to speak to the opposing attorney and said that I could not win this case from the beginning. Hiring this attorney was the worst decision ever. He takes no pride in his work. The only pleasure he takes is in cashing your check! Please do not hire Michael Delaney; believe me you will regret it if you do.

Michael Delaney is a wonderful lawyer! My custody battle was a very hard and stressful situation that he helped me get through smoothly. He is very knowledgeable and thanks to him he helped me win my case! I have had primary custody of my daughter for a couple years now and couldn't be happier. Such a relief! Today both my daughter and I are so happy and she is enjoying a Texas life!! In the summer of 2005 Mr Michael and myself met. My daughter's mother and I had parted ways and I kept our child. With many obstacles in my way I was strong minded to do what ever I could to do to get custody and he had my back 100%. Being in the situation I was Michael took the time to find out who I was. My mother recommended Mr Delaney the short story is... she was kidnapped after I gained custody.... He offered assistance for myself and fought hard downtown. I always felt like I had the very best to represent me he is so sharp! He never let me down and if not for him I would've lost it. Wasn't long before I had the paperwork to go to New York, fight thier law and return with my daughter. If not for this man in my life I'd be broken. In 2012 he also represented me in my divorce. I have nothing negative to say. I battled a long and complicated divorce with minor children involved. Yes it was an expensive investment but the outcome was all in my favor. After even having CPS involved I kept my children's custody 100%. Now when my family/friends need a family attorney, Mr. Delaney is the only one who comes to my mind and recommend him. Everyday I wake up next to my children I can't help but thank Mr. Delaney, he did right by me.

Terrible lawyer....Will charge you 2100 dollars for not doing nothing...won't return your phone calls and when it's comes to your court date he starts asking for more money without showing any progression..He's just another thief taking from the desperate people who actually needs help

This was my sister's attorney (and my parent's 20 years ago) during her very long and stressful custody case with her ex-husband. I'm posting this review after receiving a personal phone call to tell my sister, her husband, my family and I that she WON and it is all thanks to Delaney and his superb skills as an attorney. He fought so eloquently and honestly he really puts the "crooked lawyer" stereotype to rest. Delaney truly cared for my sister during her court battle. He fought for her rights as a mother and as a human being. He never lied to her and was open and honest with her about the outcome of the case from the get-go. If you are fighting a custody case or any sort of family law case, you could not choose a better attorney than Michael Delaney, who is now a friend to our family.

He is a terrible attorney... I paid him $2100 for him to incorrectly advise me to get a default judgement when the other party had not defaulted yet. When I advised him of the dates being too early in court, he told me lets just see what happens but if they threw it out he would continue to represent me for the $2100 I gave him... They did throw it out and then he asked for more money! He is a liar.. All he wants is your money.
And then more money... If you look at his reviews most people complaining about him say the same thing. And he retaliates with saying they didn't pay his bill... Not true. He lies about the cost and then asks for more money...RUN!
