This place has been going down hill ever since Ogg replaced several assistant da's with her public defender friends. They don't know how to do the job and the morale is so low they had to bring in an outside research group to talk to employees and find out why workplace morale is in the tank.....

Kim Ogg is too soft on criminals. Has she ever explained why she is too soft on criminals?

Apparently this DA office is not in favor of enforcing gun laws in Texas. In October 2016 salvador ortiz jr shot a man down the street from his house in the back and then claimed self defense because he stated he shot the man in his garage while lunging at him and claimed burglary of his detached garage in the back yard . The sheriff dept. Failed to run ortiz's criminal history and find out he was a convicted felon for federal drug trafficking and possession charges and on parole and legally barred from possessing a gun. Today after another detective reviewed the case and the shooting victim trying to file aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felon in possession charges, which the detective agreed that ortiz story did not match the forensic and physical evidence, the Kim Oggs office is declining prosecution. Mr ortiz has since assaulted the man with a knife in his car in Pasadena with no prosecution and most recently tried to do so again at a gas station in north houston and is charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief for stabbing out the man's tires. Texas statute states there is no defense to prosecution or justifiable use of deadly force if the actor is legally prohibited from owning a firearm or commits an offense higher than a class c misdemeanor in the act of defense, which illegally possessing a firearm is. There is no defense to a prohibited felon possessing a firearm. The burglary charge was dismissed against the accused man. This DA campaigns as a liberal and for stricter gun control and talks about keeping guns out of the hands of people who are prohibited from possession , yet refuses to enforce the very laws that prevent this and prosecute those offenders. Or at least it seems this is the case when it is a white man shooting a black man in the back. It would seem that black men cannot receive the same justice as white kids in Santa fe.

I'm a survivor of sexual assault & domestic violence. I've tried twice to get a protective order at this location and I was denied twice supposedly due to lack of evidence. I was asked if my rapist had threatened my life... Isn't my story self explanatory?! I was drugged and raped; my ex, his mom and his friend wanted me dead because I didn't want them doing meth & other drugs around the children amoung other issues. The women who sat down with me didn't even take the time to look at my print outs of the harassing texts that my rapist/abuser had been sending me. I felt so let down & hopeless. I wanted to die after being raped & the only reason I'm still here is for my children. There's no way that I'm going to let this monster raise these innocent children into another version of himself. HPD has been even worse, they supposedly cannot give out temp. protective orders. Then I hear stories from other survivors about how they obtained protective orders from this same location with no evidence whatsoever and I'm just so mad at this point that I'm not even going to try and hide it. I'm mad and sad for very valid reasons. QUIT TRYING TO MINIMIZE RAPE & DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Hey, you know what’s a great idea, let’s set the bonds for criminals who are breaking into peoples houses and committing other horrible crimes at less than $1,000. Stop doing this and start giving harsher bonds.

Sergeant Martin told me I could go talk to the DA, SO NOT TRUE I went to the DA office Spoke with Nancy in she told me to go online In fill out a complaints form they would review the in reopen the case it can take weeks or months. I got pulled a gun on beat up by 5 women my friend got pulled a gun on trying to rob him but he broke loose we both could have been dead in the lady kicked the side of my truck in. What type of Justice is this when we have videos to prove the case. Smh WOW

If I could rate zero I would. You have caused many honest hard working people to be harmed by people that should stay in jail, however you continue to let these people out with almost zero bails.

I called my local police department to learn about stipulations of a new law and they directed me to this office. “We’re not lawyers.” is the response I got to my question. Is it Protect and Serve or Confuse and Detain?

Sick and tired of hearing about violent criminals committing crimes while they are out on parole or probation for even worse crimes. Houston is becoming the next Chicago thanks to you. Resign because come election time your record will be called out for all to see.

Ms. Ogg wouldn't need so many prosecutors if they were being used efficiently. Now all those arrested are pushed through the same system. A first time offender arrested for outstanding traffic warrants exactly the same as one with multiple felonies and accused of another violent felony or felony drug charge. Processing and prosecuting everyone the same way is wasteful and unnecessary. It over prosecutes petty and first time offenders and under prosecutes serious criminals. It's one reason serious crime continues to be an issue in Harris County. Harassing people who made a mistake at the cost of under prosecuting REAL criminals, and then asking for more $$$ to keep doing it.

My brother Martin Lopez Jr. was "accidentally" shot by his girlfriend February 9, 2019. His girlfriend who had history of physically abusing him. The grand jury decided to close my brother's case with no charges filed against her. Shouldn't there be a charge of manslaughter or negligent homicide? Or at least discharge of a firearm? Your letting Houston criminals off with a slap on the wrist. We LOST Martin. NO ONE else is going to hurt like we are. #justiceformartinlopezjr

DA Ogg and her prosecutors have a lot of explaining to do on numerous cases where violent criminals were released with PR bonds, deferred adjudication, or the ADA simply not taking charges to begin with. This is what happens when ill-informed potheads vote for a defense attorney to take the reins of a once respected district attorney's office. Ogg has successfully created a revolving door for violent criminals in Harris County.

Wonderful DA I'm very happy I voted for. Not only does she protect the rights of victims but ESPECIALLY protects the rights of the defendants UNBIASED because they are HUMANS too! Kim Ogg KNOWS the TRUE MEANING of "Innocence before guilt" clause that was PRAISED by our founding fathers. She knows victims can exaggerate and lie so she questions them too. THANK YOU FOR BEING A VOICE FOR THOSE WHO ARE BEING ABUSED IN A FOR PROFIT INDUSTRY WHERE THEY LOST ALL THEIR RIGHTS AND NOBODY CARES ABOUT THEM THANK YOU!!!!

Enrique Ramirez Ayala is dead because you gave Anthony Conway 6 MONTHS in jail for a murder that was committed just last year. This murderer should've been in prison when he shot Enrique but now his family has to live without him because of your wrongdoing. Citizens of Houston, I urge you to vote! This is not what you want your city to become.

You must be trying to turn Houston into Detroit or Chicago. You were hired to do a job, now do it and prosecute the criminals. How do you have such audacity to decide your simply not going to prosecute certain crimes. The laws aren’t their for you to decide their legitimacy, that’s up to a judge and jury. If you can’t do the job than QUIT. Right now you are worthless.

This D.A.'s office dropped charges against police officers who SEXUALLY ASSAULTED a woman. The assault can be seen on released police dashcam video footage. Please, review the youtube video "Parking lot v*ginal search video is released by attorney" to see what I am referring to.

Great Leadership! Decriminalizing small amounts of marijuana was the smartest thing to do. It took someone like you to make real change for so many people. It saves peoples jobs, it saves the county money, it frees up the police and jails to be available to stop and lockup the hard criminals. But most importantly your stand for common since also relieved my conscious. Thank You Kim Ogg! Best DA Ever! Romans Ch13

Welcome Kim Ogg! I'm sorry that it is a bit belated, but WELCOME!

The people of this county, and this entire state, need more people like you, who are truly concerned about the public safety, and finding TRUTH at all costs, not just clumsily and often times maliciously violating PEOPLE's rights to get convictions, like Chuck, Devon, and Mike, et cetera ad infinitum.
These are PEOPLE! Human beings, that the previous administration systematically destroyed for sometimes the most ridiculously slight violations of the law, and often times when the accused was innocent, and they knew it.
Justice has been available for decades in this city, if you could afford it. If you are poor, and locked up for a class B misdemeanor, your life means nothing. You'll lose your apartment, job, perhaps your vehicle, and far, far too often, you family, just because you're poor and can't afford to post bond, and/or buy your way into a chance at a fair shake.

Welcome Kim Ogg!
And a great big Thanks to Federal District Judge Lee Rosenthal, for your recent, constructive criticism for the county via your 192 page opinion and injunction!

{Just to be clear, I'm NOT thanking former D.A. chuck rosenthal, [no thanks to you, (mamzer!)]}

Kim Oggs cowardly decision to let Hector Campos out of jail just hours after he murdered his next door neighbor has put people's lives in danger. He is a pedofile and a monster. Here's a thought Kim, why don't you let Hector live next door to you. Your a coward and obviously care more about this sadistic monster than the victims. You put people in danger this week and you should be fired immediately.
