I signed a retainer only to learn him and his colleagues wanted me to stop paying the timeshare and maintenance fees, which would have tarnished my credit. When I emailed them questions to make sure we were on the same page, no one wanted to answer them. I was basically put on a conveyer belt and simply just another number. He then said he would stop work on my timeshare and either refund me the $500 I paid up front or have me sign a new retainer, in which he raised the fee by about 2k, that I would have to pay him. After asking for clarification on the grounds he will be getting the exit of my timeshares completed, he once again responded rudely via email, attempted to berate me by lecturing me on how much experience he has and told me I was making libelous statements due to my being wary of those who say they can help get me out of my timeshares, who end up being a scam.
Long story short; I got my refund, dealt with my timeshare myself, provided medical records and they allowed me to exit the two timeshares without ruining my credit, without paying any additional money and most importantly, without an attorney... especially one who is unprofessional.
Mr. Sussman, you have some audacity to imply I made libelous claims against you. What I said was I am sure you understand my asking numerous questions due to all the scams out there regarding those who say they'll get you out of your timeshare, only to walk with your money. That is not a libelous statement towards you. I saved our email correspondence containing your unprofessionalism, rudeness and abruptness with me, a then, client of yours.
Be careful who you threaten to sue, whether directly or indirectly.
Folks, if you have illnesses that have prevented you from utilizing your timeshare/s, you can get out of it without paying an attorney. Knowledge and determination can help you achieve that. You don't always have to rely on an attorney to do things you can do yourself.
