This attorney failed to represent the facts of the domestic abuse my ex husband was guilty of which hurt my divorce settlement. I supplied Mr. Ashmore numerous records of emergency room visits and police reports records and hotel records. Mr. Ashmore failed to produce any those records in my defense during court proceedings.
Mr. Ashmore sat ideally in the courtroom while the apposing attorney used choices I am legally entitled to defame me. Mr. Ashmore allowed my ex husband's attorney to lie about me smearing my good name without even asking me if what she was saying was true. My defense of his abuse while trying to escape his was painted as me being an abuser to water down the years of abuse I endured when I have never ever abused my ex husband.
There were no hospital records or witnesses as proof I ever harmed him. As a result I lost a good deal of my assets. The final settlement locked me into a situation that is depleting the balance of my assets from the divorce based on how Mr. Ashmore allowed the settlement to be structured. I was totally blindsided by what happened. Had I been prepared by him I could have produced more evidence to refute the defenses allegations and revealed the truth. There was a two day trial over two months apart. The time differential allotted Mr. Ashmore more time to counsel with me as the defense's strategy had been uncovered on the first day. However Mr. Ashmore chose not to do so. My divorce settlement was structured exactly as my ex-husband wanted. Mr. Ashmore charged me $17,000 and did nothing to defend me. Mr. Ashmore failed to properly prepare me for court. When I was searching for an appeal attorney I found that several of Mr. Ashmore's peers stated
