I found an extended family at this form about a year and a half ago when I filed my divorce. Raya was amazing through it all.....but even now after the divorce has been finalized for over 6 months now. 5 stars doesn't do Slav Talavera any justice. I've been embroiled in a bitter and complicated family law case for 4 years to which Slav guided me through the entire process when I hired him 6 months ago when no other attorney could. He managed my expectations through and through and I could not be happier. He's simply the best.

I CANNOT sing the praises of Jake Gilbreath enough. He guided me through perhaps the most difficult time -a very complex divorce - of my life and gave me a new lease on it.

Not only did he successfully help me secure what I wanted in my divorce and custody which already a HUGE success. We had to win not ONLY in one state, but two for example. As a professional Athlete I needed someone that would be on my case. Jake started off really well but towards the end dropped the ball many times. Including forgetting about my case. Moved offices without notifying me twice. As he was switching offices it did seem like he was a bit disorganized. He was not the best at updating or replying to emails and I have many emails which were not replied to. There was paper work that was not properly filed which delayed my case significantly (almost 3 years) I ended up switching Lawyers and had a much better result in 1/10th of the time. I would not hire him again.

RE: After two lost child support checks that I took personally hand delivered to Mr. Gilbreath's office at his direction. I started to receive letters from the Attorney general which were promptly forwarded to Mr. Gilbreath and his office, however there was no response to this and other pressing emails regarding possible garnishing until yes, my accounts were garnished. Good thing there is always email proof. This was just my experience. Not to say others will experience the same.

Jake and I went to law school together, so naturally when I started the divorce process myself, he came to mind. I couldn’t be happier with him and his entire firm. What was supposed to be an easy, uncontested divorce has turned in to an extremely difficult case with many additional filings and negotiations necessary to protect myself and my children. Jake is extremely responsive and has guided me in appropriate decision making which has left me in a much better position than I would have if I had decided to represent myself (don’t do that!). Jake has been an incredible attorney. He did an absolutely incredible job representing me throughout my divorce and custody hearings back in 2013. It was not a simple case by any means; I was asking for a lot. He was very straight forward about his agenda and executed them seamlessly. He got the other party to settle and we signed off on everything I asked for, within reason. That arrangement was perfect for our family but unfortunately two years later in 2015, my situation with my children's father took a turn for the worse. I was uncertain what was going on but I rehired Jake to help me sort it out. He immediately set up a meeting with him that Sunday (his day off). Within a week we were in court with an order to test the other party for drugs. As soon as he found out the results came back positive for several drugs, he called me to meet him at his office to sign off on an injunction. He went before a judge that same day to cease all visitations until we could get a Guardian Ad Litem to further investigate. This escalated quickly from a modification case to a termination case. He communicates very well and doesn't beat around the bush. I have full faith in Jake. He has always put the best interest of the children first and that alone lets me rest easy. Even though he has several clients at a time, he has never made me feel like anything less than his top priority. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone going through a hard time and in need of a fantastic attorney.
