To be honest, we were extremely disappointed with our brief experience here. When it comes to dealing with family court, its never an easy journey and, based off the reviews, we were really looking forward to our consultation to get some guidance and questions answered. Unfortunately, our first impression was not up to our standards and we found out quickly that there is a reason why their consultation is cheaper compared to other law firms. Thank you to Mr. Brown and his associates for representing me for my son's case. I felt more relaxed knowing I had Scott Brown and his team behind me. During mine and my ex's first court hearing our attorneys went before the judge and then came out to talk with us individually. I was thinking afterward how simple it seemed and how quickly it was done. I mentioned that later on and come to find out it only seemed simple because I wasn't in the room. There was back and forth arguing that I didn't know about because I was well represented. I got to experience some that first hand later on at our mediation. Mediation was stressful and emotionally draining, but Mr. Brown helped me to stay calm, think logically (which is not something you want to do when you are worked up), and gave me good advice on what was best for me and my son. Mediation is supposed to be both sides working together to come to a mutual agreement. It seemed the only "giving" was coming from our side, but Mr. Brown and the mediator helped us find middle ground and made things work. Thank you again!

Do not use these people , They were hired to handle a basic close book divorce and 6 plus months later were still sending back the final decree over and over again for basic errors like spelling and using the wrong name. Even better they are charging us for it. I would not refer them to ANYONE!

Thanks so much for easing our minds about what we needed to do as the sibling survivors when our sister passed away. Scott Brown did not represent me, another lawyer at his law firm did. The lawyer that represented me was very forgetful and at times inadequate. I don't know if this person just had too much on their plate or what the issue was. I feel like in my case my lawyer was lucky when it came to the outcome. Which might've been as decent as it was because of my clean record. Frankly, I think that a court appointed lawyer would've got me the same outcome, maybe even better. I'm not really disappointed in the outcome of my case as much as I am of the money I felt that I was robbed of. My lawyer didn't show up to my first court date, emailed me saying that my case was dismissed only to find out that he sent the email to the wrong person, forgot about things he had already told me, and a lot of things just didn't add up. When my case was over he told me that my license would be suspended for 90 days....well I found out later, through the DPS website, that it's actually 6 months. There were a lot of situations like that where he would say one thing but it'd really be another. He hardly ever followed up with me, except when I would call, and even then it was just to go over the same things we went over the last time we spoke.

I do believe that people make mistakes, but for the amount of money that people dish out into things like this...mistakes are not affordable. And it's a lawyers job to represent someone the best way they can.

I was hesitant to write a review, based on the fairness of the other lawyers that work in this law firm, but it also wouldn't be fair to those that are in need of someone to represent them. No one deserves to be taken for granted like that.

My daughter hired Mr. Brown for a basic uncontested Texas divorce. There was nothing to argue other than child support which is basically set in stone in Texas. Mr. Brown attempted to charge my daughter $9000 for this most basic divorce. I would highly recommend to steer clear of Mr. Brown and his questionable fees.
