Dealing with this law office was very unpleasant and they have no communication with you but yet when you reach out to ask for updates you get billed for calls and emails. I came to this law office hoping they can help with raising child support on a parent that was hiding for years but still haven't had help on a court date or settlement. I did my investigating so process server had addresses, numbers, vehicles, license plates, pictures etc.. But still no budge until I had to pay for a substitute service due to non custodial parent avoiding server many times. Diana painted a pretty picture but til this day I believe she is on the other parents end even when I'm stuck with a high bill.

If you are wanting a divorce but nervous about the process, attorney Mary Ann Notestine has been wonderful. She has been very understanding, empathetic and accommodating through out this process. I was faced with a very difficult situation and she has been there every step of the way.

I was the victim in an unfortunate event two days after Christmas. My sister and I were running ourselves ragged trying to find answers and solutions. Of course being the holidays, it was rare to find a firm open or even a lawyer working. We were recommended to Steven Benke from a friend of a friend, and we found probably the only lawyer working on a Friday afternoon before the New Years holiday. We spoke with Mary Ann Notestine, and saw her first thing Tuesday morning January 2nd. After hearing our dilemma, Mary Ann gave us the direction we needed with understanding confidence and empathy. Our fight has just begun, but so far Mary Ann has been excellent in her representation. Steven Benke has been my go to man since I lost primary custody of my son. I went into court the first time (without Benke) thinking I HARDLY needed a lawyer and ended up losing and realizing I needed a REALLY GOOD lawyer! Don’t make the same mistake I did, Go with Mr. Benke your first time around!! After hiring Mr.Benke, my legal questions were all answered in a timely manner and his offices fast responses has made everything so much easier. He will handle your case with the best care, he is compassionate and really there to help. He’s helped me for the past 4 years with numerous of other things. I’d recommend him and this law firm to anyone who needs custody or divorce help. Again, I just want to thank Mr.Benke and his paralegal Teresa for all your help this year to get me past this rough legal situation.

I needed a document drafted, and the lawyer estimated 2-4 weeks and $1000-$1500 (verbally, of course, not in writing). The 6 page document ended up taking 2 months and cost $2200. When I asked for the bill to be reviewed, the lawyer emailed back "I will take care of it." When I got the second bill, I was told the lawyer no longer worked there but they would revise my bill for multiple 5 star reviews online. So if your integrity is for sale, you might get a better deal.

If you need foriegn divorce to be recognized by the state, Steven C Benke is the best divorce lawyer office in San Antonio Texas. I tried to recognized my foriegn divorce by the state and didn't know where to start. One of the best lawyer Mrs Galvany and paralegal Mrs Rose knowledgable about the case and also researched my forign divorce country law to explain about the law and the case. As she explained the case went smooth on time without any problem. Just sit and relax wait the case to be finished.

I needed to hire a lawyer because doing the divorce on my own would've taken to long; at least 6 months (if not longer). I filed my petition with the court on July 3rd (on my own). By September 5th, my divorce was finalized. I loved working with Laura Castro and Pat Cruz. Both ladies were an absolute joy to work with. At the very beginning, Laura told me what I could expect and she always kept me updated with my case. I didn't even have to reach out to request a status.

Very poor service by this law office as experienced by a relative. They don’t keep you informed and you constantly have to request an update on your case. They are quick to charge their fees and will not proceed on anything unless you are paid up. My family member was assigned to three different attorneys during the process in a two year period and thousands of dollars paid, and yet the case is still not finalized. The statements that Steven C. Benke advertises on TV are false, perhaps he himself is an experienced attorney, but the three attorneys on his staff my family member was assigned did not seem to care. Every time the law office was contacted it was because my family member had to reach out to them and request information. If you call and speak to someone or meet with them, the charges begin and a meeting with your assigned attorney will be costly. The best and cheapest form of getting information from them was either speaking to the paralegal or sending an email. Often they DID NOT respond to an email in a timely manner and a second email would have to be sent. Mr. Benke should work on constant training of his staff and remind them that a paid up client should be the most important thing on their agenda because they are representing him. Very disappointed with this law office, I would never recommend this office to anyone.

My husband and I hired Mrs. Galvany as my husband’s attorney for a custody battle case. She has squashed any horrible feeling I have ever had towards lawyers. She was very very good; she listens to you and takes the situation at hand and just goes to work. Super easy to talk to and has your back through it all. She is a fighter and from my understanding scary haha when you are on the other side of the fence. When we need another lawyer, Mrs. Galvany is going to be our first pick. Mr. Benke is a down to earth lawyer, not like a typical lawyer that sticks their nose up in the air towards others, not like most realtors and lawyers are. His staff is pretty good at returning calls within shorter turn around time than the average call to a doctor's office.

Retained the services of Mrs. Benavides for my divorce. She was an amazing attorney always keeping me informed of my case, and working expeditiously to help me resolve any issues. Her as well as her paralegal, Mrs. Patricia, were very informative and made me feel comfortable during this rough time in my life.

I retained the services of Mrs. Diana Davalos and her team of paralegals and I was impressed. Everything was covered on point and very swift in their execution of their services. And all my questions were answered in complete detail to ensure I was making the correct decision and understood of step of the process. Thank you very much.

Attorney was changed after my filing, no explanation given. No notice, just an email saying I had a new attorney. Later my attorney's assistant was just gone, mid-process. Nobody said a word until I called after a 4 week delay on paperwork I was expecting. Total delay was over 6 weeks on draft of final decree alone.

At one point couldn't get a call returned after 3 tries until I called asking if I could schedule a call to talk to Mr Benke about my experience. Then I was called back in about 15 mins by someone who told me of staffing changes.

Delays in refund of remaining retainer by almost two weeks based on what I was told first by attorney and then by her assistant Misty (Mistelle?)

Treated by new attorney's new assistant like I was the opposition with attitude as if i was the problem when I'd call for updates on the repeated delays.

-Charged for messages not just that I sent, which is understandable, but also for communications between my ex wife's attorney and my attorney which of course ate into my retainer significantly and unexpectedly. So she'd ask a question, and I'd get charged.
-If I sent an email asking a question and didn't get an answer or, if I got an incomplete answer, sending a follow up to ask for a response resulted in being charged for BOTH emails
-Charged $400+ for rework that was done at the request of my ex wife, not at my request, and which was unnecessary.
-Told by my attorney by phone just before final decree was done that I'd receive a refund of "almost exactly $2,500" and they she "wouldn't charge to finish out the decree" so I'd get that refund back on my overpay. Then I got the final bill and only got a refund of $700, much of which was due to communications between two attorneys and rework at ex wife's direction.

Over all just a miserable, inefficient, borderline dishonest and unprofessional experience at various parts of the process beyond was I was dealing w in the divorce event itself.

Go elsewhere. Go far away.

Exceptional service!! I hired Alicia Galvany for a family matter and it was done in an timely manner. Practically a week!! She was so nice and really listened to my needs. I didn't feel rushed and I most definielty didn't feel like she was in it for the money. I had gone to another law firm a week prior and they wanted 5 times what Alicia was asking!!! The other law firm only wanted the money regardless of what I was asking him to do. Definitely did not go back to him.
