Was never able to hire attorney. Review based on experience of attempt to hire.
I had spoken to Mr Marten and was initially very impressed with his legal knowledge. I ultimately deceived with another attorney since my case was in Broward and was concerned about accessible travel fees. Months later, I reached out to Mr Marten’s paralegal on a Monday in hopes of retaining Mr Marten after a bad experience with a prior attorney. After being promised a callback the same day and never hearing anything, I had followed up with his paralegal Amber Tuesday to be informed there was some issues accessing the case file. As soon as I found that out, I immediately emailed over everything I had Tuesday. I never heard back, reached out later on Tuesday to confirm the case files were received. Wednesday, still no word back so I reached out again to make sure the files were received. Still no word back, so I called Thursday morning, at which point Amber did confirm the files were received and Mr Marten was very busy. I said I would be available all day except 10-11am, which was regretfully when I was told he would be available to chat.
Amber confirmed my number with me and said he should be in touch at some point Thursday. I kept my phone by me all day and never received a call nor an email.
I was very disappointed at this point as it had been a week, and I did ask if he was not interested in taking the case to please let me know so I could seek out other arrangements.
I understand that people do get busy, but even to send me a quick two minute email to update me would have gone a long way.
I did email Amber again on Friday to let her know how I felt, in regards to the promises of callbacks and inaccurate timelines were given to me. She misrepresented herself and did state she was sorry if I was not satisfied with her multiple calls and emails to me. Which was not accurate because she never called me once. Mr Marten finally reached back out to me later that day, and was extremely rude on the phone. Stating how his caseload was very high and only had time for his current clients. I stand by that I was not being inpatient, I just simply reached out in hopes of retaining him and being misled for a week. Do not promise a callback and then not even follow up, if you cannot deliver. May be a decent attorney if you are actually able to hire him, but based on my experience I would seek legal counsel elsewhere. Humans make mistakes, but a decent human will admit when they do and attempt to make amends, not blame the other party.

Mr. Marten is very knowledgeable and excels in the services he provides. I felt very secure trusting him to represent me in the most important case of my life. He worked very hard on my case with amazing professionalism and attention to detail. I could tell his main motivation was always to help me and give me the best advise possible. I highly recommend him.

I don’t know even how to thank this man. I am at a loss for words. I called him looking for something else and the gentlemen he was he took the time to answer questions since he was well versed on the subject matter.
