I have been an acquaintance of Dave Roy for over 20 years, so I am appalled at his complete lack of professionalism and greed. During an extremely difficult time I trusted Dave Roy to represent me in a custody case, he never returned my calls, missed the deadline of my summons and when I asked that Roy & Associates withdraw from the case and return my money I would desperately need to retain another attorney he withdrew from the case and refused to return a dime of $1700 I paid by maxing out my credit card. I have been a stay at home mom with 21 month old baby girl and he knows I have no means of income. Not only he didn't do what he was supposed to, but he never even had the decency to respond to my calls, emails and texts. His assistant handled me from the moment Dave got paid and I signed a retainer agreement for $5000. His assistant lied to me, send me a counterpetition to my summons AFTER the deadline that had nothing to do with my case and a bill for the amount of money received toward the retainer. He charged me $500 an hour while his rate is $400 and I'm back to square one with no attorney and no money! Disgusting excuse for a lawyer and human being!
