Frances and Michael were both very passionate, knowledgeable and helpful through a very difficult process. Frances held my hand every step of the way and explained the journey. I spent nearly 8 months with Dominic Bacarella at this firm. I was told that he was working on it and several times Mr. Baccarella told me something like "I will be wrapping it up in three weeks.". That was over a month ago, the last time I spoke to Mr. Baccarella, who stopped talking my phone calls and that of my father, a former client of Mr. Baccarella, who is helping me financially. When my father wrote a letter to Baccarella expressing his dissatisfaction with the way Mr. Baccarella was handling the case, Mr. Baccarella's response was to file a motion to withdraw as my attorney and, in an email, tell me that there are a lot of great public defenders out there. After 8 months and over $5,000, after Mr. Baccarella had exhausted all of my financial resources. Mr. Baccarella drove to Manatee County 3 times that I know of, twice to go to court with me. I don't know what else he did. And Mr. Baccarella waits until I just had major surgery to decide to withdraw. NOT very professional. I would save my money and look elsewhere.

And this was a misdemeanor. For someone who had been practicing law in Tampa for about 40 years it should not have been that difficult.

Lawyers we don't think of them until we need one. Then we scramble to find one through family and friends, internet, etc. We bare our souls, in hopes our plight is considered, we hang on to every word our lawyer says, because we quickly find out the crash course in internet law is much more complex then google search and YouTube, hopefully you get what you pay for because in most cases you'll be willing to pay in blood if need be, well i spoke to many but narrowed it down to five, I picked a good talking lawyer who may have been good at what he did, but then I met Kim Hamill and Desereah Washington at Older Lundy & Alvarez, my comparison to the lawyers I spoke to, compared to OLA team were like a championship college basketball team but who are now playing NBA champions, both are extremely good but just at different levels, Kim Hamill and Desereah Washington not only worked my case but they also empowered me in a subtle but powerful way to be proactive, which ultimately reunited me with my daughter. 1 star is too good for this firm. Francis Martinez represented my boyfriend for about 5 months told him he was guilty, and no matter how much he told her that he was innocent, she said he did not have a chance, so he fired her and got another lawyer who represented him the way a lawyer is suppose to and was found NOT GUILTY in 5 minutes by jury. Then he had also hire Koster for the his divorce who did not answer questions then first time in court he quits after taking $4500 and wants charge another $800 for quitting after he fired his Francis.
So if you want an inadequate lawyer then you can hire this team. Otherwise think again. My opinion based on the facts of experience.

Frances Martinez was an excellent attorney she knew what was needed and turned my already 2 and a half year divorce into 6 months. I hired her January 2018 and by June I was divorced.
