I do not recommend. I met with one of their lawyers for a divorce consultation, paid the $150. Didn't get much for answers. I should have come more prepared but didn't have a lot information due to my husband and I not talking and no actual complaint filed yet. I was told she would email me the packages to go forward with the case and never heard from her again. She recommended I try to talk to my husband, which I did and emailed her the results of the discussion...no reply. I called the office 10 days later to try to get ahold of her, left my email for her to respond...no response ever. I'm not sure if she didn't have time for new clients or just wanted to pick up bigger, more expensive cases, but either way, it would have saved me a lot of time, effort, and money if she would have been honest from the beginning. Just my personal experience, but I felt like it was a very unprofessional experience with this firm.

So I have bittersweet experience with this firm. My case (s) were probably not like most and way more crazy. I would say in the beginning this firm did well. But overtime I felt more like an atm than a person going through some really tough legal drama. My attorney from this firm personally I feel is a good attorney, they were just waaay to overworked with other clients and couldn't focus on my case in the manner I felt they should have. I never got the personal involvement with my case I felt I deserved.

In my opinion if you have alot of money then you will get rapid responses, and those responses will dwindle as your case goes on and the money starts to dry up. There is nothing more troubling then having calls go unanswered or questions/directions not being heeded. In my opinion the attorneys at this firm are juggling too many clients and aren't able to adequately focus and be prepared for each individual case, often with dire consequences.

I wish I could recommend them, but I really just cant.

I had the pleasure of working with Caitlyn Stubbs/Matthew Hall in Fredericksburg, VA office and Benjamin Griffitts/Hannah Hirsch in the Manassas, VA office. I know, I should probably own some stock in the company. In working with both pairs in two different legal scenarios everything occurred that you would expect: Professionalism? Check. Knowledge of the law? Check. Orderly/On-time paperwork and filing? Check. Communication with the courts? Check. Comfortable burgundy caressoft chairs with traditional button tufted styling in the waiting rooms? Double Check. But I guess what I didn't expect was the patience from all four of them and the desire to help me understand. I'm no attorney, if I was I'd recommend you contact me; when I was confused about certain jargon being thrown around they all took their time to break it down nice & simple for me to understand.

It may seem like nothing, but when you've gone through schooling for as long as they have and you visit courthouses almost daily, it's easy to forget that some people have absolutely zero exposure or knowledge of any of this previously, and it's as foreign as telling someone to fly to the moon and back (sorry to all the rocket scientists reading). Livesay & Myers helped me with two matters regarding custody, and moving my case to Virgina from Maryland. They were able to give me very helpful advise on how best to protect my daughter during a difficult situation.

Later, after my ex-husband's death they also helped me change my daughter's legal name to honor the father who raised her and her biological father.

Both processes were handled efficiently, and promptly. The fees were very clearly laid out from the start, with no extra surprises for me.

Peace of mind in Custody Case. Transferred a custody case from Maryland to Virginia because we moved in the years since the original case. When I met with Ms. Woods for the initial consult, she laid out all the steps and what we would need to do to amend the order. Working with her and her assistant, Ms. Constant, was reassuring. I had no worries and the case was resolved very efficiently. I now have peace of mind knowing my son's best interests are protected. In general, the job was done and in a reasonable time frame. However, there were several occasions where I found errors in some of the simplest details of my prepared paperwork. I felt that I may have spent more money than I should have by having the staff correct what appeared to be negligent errors.
