She was recommended to me but I wish I had spent $6000 on a lawyer for an undisputed divorce that didn’t screw me over. It Had been 10 years and I am having to still deal with her mistakes! First she talked me out of having the state collect child support saying the document she created means his employer would have to pay. He has never had to pay. Second, I am getting remarried and I call to get a copy of my divorce, only to find that MY lawyer never filed it correctly!
She was more harm than good and doesn’t focus on the best interest of her client, she’s just their to “steal” your money and talk down to you.

Poor communication, hostile attorney, refused to return retainer after behavior similar to other reviewers. Strongly do not recommend. There are so many attorneys in the area that do not have red flag behaviors - use someone else.

I know there are some one star reviews on here and maybe their experience was different than mine in a negative way. I can't speak for them. BUT! Mrs. Brown and her staff were the most helpful people in all my needs. I can say that she KNOWS HER STUFF!!! She successfully helped me and even made things happen quicker than I expected. I can only say... THANK YOU!! If you need help with your custody case I highly recommend Susan D. Brown! Worth every penny.

This was a difficult and stressful custody case. Susan and her staff always answered my questions in a timely manner. Everything was explained in terms I understood. They were very caring and made me as comfortable as possible about my concerns. Susan is very thorough and knowledgeable about the law. I would highly recommend Susan D. Brown as an attorney who truly cares about her clients and always prepared for court!

Susan and the staff have always been outstanding to work with. I can say that she took a stressful adoption and made it a very clear and precise process. I cant say enough good things about this group of people.

This lady was a waste of my time and money. I was told to meet her on Friday at 10am, I get a summons to court for the next week, I realized this and called the other lawyer that recommended her to me, to see if I needed to "stick" to that lawyer, or move onto another one. I was told that she was the best money could buy, that I need not worry. I called the office right after I was told to stick to Susan, the lady in office said to keep my appointment, she took down the court date, claimed that I would need 1750$ down, that Susan could be in court on the next week. I get in her office a few minutes late (because I called & told them why), instead of being the friendly and caring type, I get the third degree, she takes notes and doesn't even get the dates right! I said 2014, she claimed I said 2015!!! What a joke!! I was never told my consultation would be 75$, well, I hope ur happy, cause I left that office upset, slapped a 100$ on the desk, even though she insulted me, and really upset me!! This is my child we are talking about, NOT a piece of property!!! I hate court, and the law's on third parties being able to file a claim to any child should be taken more seriously. Than some strangers being able to come off a street, produce NO evidence of paternity, and try to take a child from it's mother!!! I'm deeply hurt, frustrated, and upset that this was supposed to be a good attorney, but she fussed me, before even listening, making untruthful notes, and then warns me she is 5000$, when her lady in the office said only 1750$ up front, then the rest in payments!! This upset me, because I did everything I could to get up that money, and was going to give her the 1750$. This is just very very unprofessional!!! If I could rate this office without NO stars, I would!!!!

Awful personal experience with this very unprofessional attorney. Complaint to be filed with the Georgia State Bar imminently. Aside from a substandard service, when I was forced to attend her offices without an appointment as she failed to respond to multiple requests to have a telephone conference to discuss my issues and whether we could work together on my case going forward, her behavior became very threatening towards myself and my 5 month old baby. She threw an A4 envelope at me which contained a copy of my papers and her withdrawal letter, came into my personal space, became verbally abusive and threatened if I didnt leave immediately she would phone the police!!! I was shell shocked at this behavior! Having since read other reviews about her, it appears I am not the only one to have experienced this kind of behavior from her.
