Currently working on a complaint with the Board. Gave her $1100 for 30 minute court appearance in Collierville that she could not resolve or provide assistance after promising that she knew the judge and it would be resolved. Took the entire amount!!! Made promises, lied and is extremely unprofessional. Please do not risk hiring her and losing your case. Family is too important and she is very cavalier and looking for a new payday.

Or actually, if you are in trouble regardless of your legal Situation. Ms Hewlett is the Right Attorney. Even though I was innocent, its not Law and Order, there was a chance i could go to Prison. Please don’t waste money with this firm. You’re better off going to courthouse and pay court fees or defend your self. Worst case you’ll pay the ticket amount which is less than this attorney’s fee. I had a traffic ticket for which I told I was not guilty of and wanted to challenge. So I hired this firm. After the court date, they called me to tell that ticket is dismissed and I still have to pay $103. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I GOT MY TICKET DISMISSED LAST TIME WITHOUT HIRING AN ATTORNEY. Now I ended up paying $253 for the ticket I was not guilty of. I learnt my lesson.

Instead of paying them, I could have attended trial myself as I have a solid argument to my defense. If I am guilty of the ticket, still I could plead mercy (which is what they probably did here) and end up paying this $103 and saved $150 attorney’s fee.

I am just coming out of courthouse after paying the fee. It clearly stated that you’ve pleaded guilty. What kind of attorney pleads guilty when the client says he/she is not guilty? I’ve also clearly laid out the argument I have. The cell phone law went into effect in TN on 07/01/2019. My ticket for holding cell phone was on 06/24/2019. I didn’t jump light or the officer didn’t have any other probable cause other than driving with cellphone in hand to pull me over. All you had to do was to present this to the judge. Instead you’ve pleaded guilty and requested the ticket be dismissed with mercy. I am explaining that even I or anyone could have done that. I don’t have to pay you $150 for that. Tell me one reason I shouldn’t be disappointed and frustrated with you?

She was extremely rude!

Horrible Experience & I truly hate I had to spill such Truth on a black led law firm but this woman is unprofessional & dismissive to say the least, (never trust a black lawyer with a loud blonde hair style). Before I paid the initial deposit of half which was $300 down & $600 total I had trouble getting her on the phone within a 3 day response time which is terrible for such a small firm. Secondly, when we did speak on two different occasions, she told me that being I had already filed a court date to modify child support & address visitation contempt, that my child support contempt case would almost certainly be addressed after the former. When court time came, she was Late of course, so much so that my son's mother came up with a last minute tactic with a lawyer she literally JUST grabbed while walking down the hallway. That move eventually led to my arrest. When we get in there she acts blindsided by my arrearage as if she had not reviewed my case in the weeks leading up to. The point of me filing for modifications was because of the incorrect arrearage amount & my legitimate claim for modification, so this was a highlight of the case! We get there & nothing goes as she predicts & she had NOTHING to counter the opposing attorney my son's mom grabbed only after learning that I obtained counsel for that date. Long story short they locked me up because we were unprepared based off the attorneys strategy & she didn't even bother to see had I post bail or anything. She has yet to reach out At all since. It's like she took $600 to make a celebrity appearance.
