They took care of my ticket. Would use them again.

They refused to provide defense for an "overweight" ticket because they said that the ticket was not in a "court of law". First, their contract does not say that they don't cover tickets not adjudicated in a "court of law". Second, it was a "court of law". Then they gave me other excuses that were not in the contract. Then I told them to refund my money. And they would not. So I disputed the charge on my credit card and got my money back. When their lawyer defended my complaint to the attorney general, he unlawfully released my non-public personal information to the attorney general and he manipulated the contract wording to try to prove that their service did not cover my ticket. Their contract explicitly states that they cover "over weight" tickets. The lawyer said that the contract says, "Your plan membership entitles you to legal coverage, for your defense against alleged overweight, over width.....and other non-moving violations that are considered serious violations against your CDL." Their lawyer argued that this means that an "overweight" ticket (which is a moving violation, not a non-moving violation) "that is not considered a serious violation against your CDL" is not covered. But this is not the accurate interpretation of the contract language. The contract states that it covers 1) "overweight" tickets 2) "and other non-moving violations considered a serious violation against your CDL". It does not state that it covers "overweight tickets that are considered serious violation against your CDL". So, obviously, they will determine whether or not a ticket is "serious" in their opinion, and then refuse to provide defense; even though this is not what the contract states. Now I have to sue them for releasing my non-public personal information. Yeah, I agree with the others....they are a joke.
UPDATE: Their lawyer, J. Peterson, refused to talk with me about his need to correct his error in releasing my nonpublic information (after I emailed him and he did not respond and after I called and left a voicemail message - he called me back) because he said that "your letter said that you were represented by a lawyer and I can't talk to you." This is a lie. It was just his excuse for being just another sleazy lawyer who lies as a way to scam truckers.

Completely Useless!!! They hire the cheapest, garbage lawyers they can find. They don't know anything. They're barely more than a referral service. If you get a ticket from a federal agency, they won't help you. The list goes on. I would save your money.

Waste of money. Kept charging me after I canceled my membership. Had to get my bank involved to get things straightened out.

Do helpful with traffic tickets. Out of state. No need to travel the lawyer they provide will go on your behalf of you want to fight it .

I gave them a ticket over a year ago to fight and it all off a sudden came up missing and now I have to pay the fine and take the hot in my MVR. I won't ever use them again

They took $394 for the year without my permission. I submitted the application before learning that I would still have to pay for a ticket I received prior to signing up. When I found this out, I told them to cancel the application and refund me. Why would I pay you to do a service, then not allow you to do it. I paid another lawyer out of my pocket to have the charges reduced.

Educational and fun class, not a boring class at all, I learned a lot and the instructors were always there to help with driving.

The government tried to ban me from the INSTAGRAM. Open Road Drivers Plan helped me get back in.

Terrible just terrible, makes me want to switch my citizenship. Also the people answering the phones are often eating or chewing very loudly right into the microphone.

If I could put a 0 stars I would.My husband got in a truck accident and got 3 tickets,attorney never showed up to court saying that got all the information from Open Road too late and wasn't able to prepare.They tried finding a cheaper lawyer and wasted my time.Case wasn't taken care of and they didn't want to reimburse us money for not doing their job and blamed the lawyer.Terrible experience,please don't use them and save your money,time and nerves.

4 yrs of paying for this service. Recently was citied for 5mph over twice in a 2 week period. Same place. Attorney was assigned. Failed to appear. Open Road rep gave weak excuses and the end result they were happy to cancel my account. Sentencing is 2 wks away. Joke is being kind

Highly recommended for anyone with a C.D.L. this company is affordable, and they do exactly what they say. Their fee is $38.95 a month, and the first time you have to use their services, you will be more than happy that you are a member.
