I think my family's review is closest to that of Glenda from 2/5/2018 (on Yelp). My husband and I hired this law office for custody needs on June 21, as we felt our child was endangered. No papers were filed through August, we received no answers to our questions, never received the promised fee agreement, nor did we receive any response from our lawyer. We severed service later in August. Refund was delayed three occasions, and when we got it, we were returned $1,090 of $3,090. The itemized bill charged lawyer prices (which averages $250/hour) for the paralegal's footwork (which averages $25/hour) to *read our emails asking for answers/help* -- but not once did the lawyer himself respond to us, nor was paperwork filed, so it's unclear why paralegal labor totaled $2,000 to read emails. We reported the lawyer to the Missouri Bar, and mid December still had no response from that office to mediate. As no mediation has been had via the Bar (which would be confidential), I feel I would be remiss to not at least convey the quality of service of this law office to now.

Mr. Rutter was very professional and knowledgeable about my case. He was able to get the case dismissed and worked with me on a payment plan. Great sense of humor too and this eased my stress. I greatly appreciated the stories you told. He is a very down to earth person and can relate to your situation. Angel was also there for me as well and was always very patient into hearing my concerns and would relay information to Jim with a phone call returned promptly. I would highly recommend this firm.

Not wirth one star. As soon as I said I was in law school and wanted limited representation he shut down. He pointed to his documents on his wall and said "This is what these are for. Either I am a lawyer or I am not." I didn't tell him I take classes at Harvard (online) but he didn't have a problem telling me, "Good luck getting into law school." Um... sure... good luck getting any wins.

Charged her over 2800.00 and didn’t even file the necessary paperwork and left her in jeopardy with an abusive husband threatening her! I found myself in need of a lawyer to keep my children during a divorce. If you haven't been through one or nearly lost you're children than it's difficult to explain the whirlwind of emotions and amount of stress that comes with. Brian told me initially during the consultation he knew where I was and that he would do everything in his power to help my situation. He never once hesitated to answer my questions and if he by some chance didn't have the answer to my many questions in that moment than he contacting me shortly with an answer and options. Brian and his office are very professional, prompt and give you straight answers which is exactly what you need in a difficult situation. The cost I feel was very fare in the end, because I have seen and heard horror stories about how people have lost everything paying for the fees. I never intended to write a book here but, I will have zero hesitation to refer Brian to any of my family or friends in the future.
