Other than filing for divorce, choosing Richard to represent me was the best decision I have made over the past year. I had spoken to four or five lawyers before I met with Richard and I knew within 10 minutes into our conversation, that he was definitely the best person for the job. He painted a clear picture of what was to come and more importantly, what I should and should not be concerned with. Every time I got caught up in what my ex-wife was trying to get away with, he was very good about bringing me back to reality and keeping me focused on the end result. After all the smoke had cleared, my divorce took less than a year and my children live with me a majority of the time, which was even more than Richard assured me in the beginning. In short, if you are looking for someone to make the divorce process as simple and cost effective as possible, look no further.

I would not recommend Richard Martin as council because the communication and support from this office is non existent. I hired him in September and never had a one on one meeting with him until January. I had sent emails asking questions about my divorce, and I never did receive any response to most of them.I was very concerned but still had hope that he was working for my good. In my opinion, because of this lack of attention, my divorce lasted longer than it should. I wasted a lot of money on legal representation that was never received and I lost a lot in my settlement because his lack of attention to details. I mentioned to him that I thought that he wasn't taking care of my needs and my cases well as I expected. He reinsured me that he was. I stop paying him in hope that that I would get a response from him, maybe he would ask if I had any problems with the way he was working the case, but no. He just stated that unless I replenished my retainer, he was going to drop my case. I hired another attorney says before my pre-trial. My file from his office was very incomplete, which caused my settlement to favor the ex. I could continue with many other examples, but it is just safe to say, in my opinion, legal representation from this office is lacking.

Do NOT retain this lawyer!!! I REPEAT DO NOT RETAIN THIS LAWYER!! Richard Martin is a liar and will steal any hard earned money given to him! He will lie to you by giving you one price, but as conditions change he will change costs to benefit him and ONLY him! If you need legal representation seek it else where! READ OTHER REVIEWS! This law firm is NOT recommended, the secretary, like others have said is VERY rude. Richard is just like his name.

I have worked in the past with Jerry and he's an outstanding attorney. He truly cares about his clients and does everything within his knowledge and expertise to gain a favorable outcome for his clients. He represented my son on a misdemeanor matter in a municipal court which a conviction would have been devastating to my son's career and family. Jerry was able to get the charges reduced to a minor traffic violation and all is good with the world. I would trust Jerry with my most difficult and challenging issues.

I called Mr. Richard Martin over three months ago and left him a voicemail and then followed that up with an email about a potential case I have against a major corporation. I have yet to hear back from him. I even asked him to let me know if he was not interested in my case in the voicemail and email I sent him. He could have had his paralegal or administrative assistant reach out to me to let me know he was too busy or not interested in my case. It is very unprofessional.

This law firm had wonderful reviews as I was searching for a lawyer in the Olathe KS area. I went ahead and hired one of the lawyers to represent me. I had a horrible experience with him. He was very unprofessional and his partner in the firm was just as unprofessional. Even their secretary was very unpleasant on the phone. I do not recommend this law firm for your legal services.
