Mr. Hammond has been very knowlegable and capable helping me through 2 divorces and false misrepresentation by another party. He is very smooth in court and is very reliable attorney dont hesitate to hire him. Youll be happy you did. Reidar Hammond is not a man of his word, I wanted to fire him 8 months before I did fire him, in serious situation he is afraid to challenge prosecutors because his best interests is be there friend to better his financial outcome, like a “ I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine relationship”. He also ask me for more money after we signed paper and paid him $5000, and he tried to tell me that’s completely normal. Since hiring a new lawyer I have been insured that asking for more money is not normal. Out of $5000 I paid him he refund me $600 and fabricated a itemized recite stating he charged me $200 a hour and $40 to mail ever court date.. And not does the contract we both signed mention nothing about a hourly rate, he even told me when I asked him for itemized recite that didn’t charge by the hour.. And he didn’t give me my paperwork work and has been dodging my phone calls. That’s immoral and a scam.. So Reider I challenge you as a man to come out and debate this matter and why you have done what have to me!! Maybe others will understand stand better then line you fead me...?

He is just out to take advantage of anyway he can earn a buck! When it came to my sons case this attorney was quick to talk a good game to get money, he even had the nerve enough to ask for more money after we signed papers! Not a person you want fighting for your legal issues in my opinion!!

I would describe him as a fraud, I paid him a couple thousand dollars to get help my girl friend with her DUI and he literally did nothing! I think he actually made things worse on her!

I wanted to let everyone know why I gave 5 stars I was mixed up in a scam the put me on the line for thousands of dollars and it was a huge mess. Reidar worked hard on getting my charges taken care of I made it to preliminary hearing court date I walked into the court house went to the check in window and I was told my case was all taken care of and this was at 1:15-1:20 on July 9th 2019 and I had a very funny look on my face I asked if they were sure, the nice lady told me yes that I was good to go and did not have to return. I would recommend Reidar he has been in the business for 30 plus years he is a great lawyer to have on your side!

Reidar Hammond is a nice enough guy, but an extremely incompetent and inept attorney. He had me plead guilty for a DWI charge without first thoroughly explaining the collateral consequences of pleading guilty. One might think that the collateral consequences should be apparent, but when facing the stress of something like a DWI, not all the senses are perfectly calibrated. While I cannot prove my suspicions, I believe that there is a collusion between the Green County Prosecutor's office and the bulk of the attorneys in Springfield. Most of the attorneys in Springfield charge roughly the same amount for DWI cases ($1800-$3000). The expenses charged is quick pocket money for the defending attorney, and simultaneously a quick win for the prosector's office without any impediment. This might be something for the Missouri Bar Association to look into.
