I had an initial consultation on October 30th, 2019. It ended up costing $200, and then Antony Jones expressed that he would need a $2,800 retainer to get this moving. I was extremely adamant about getting my case handled before January 1st. He pulled the money out, and I waited, until November 26th when I sent an email. No response. So, I send another email on December 6th telling him if this is the way we were working, we need to just refund the money. He responded with an email apology and stated he was working on it. It is now January 7th and I had to reach out to see why they pulled another $300 out in November when they already had the retainer and no work done. He sent me the invoice with five bogus "meetings"" outlined. I've sent multiple emails inquiring where the refund is and I guess they just get lost in space. Antony Jones is worthless. Go somewhere else. Save your time and money and steer clear.

The firm is a Disaster, focusing on draining your account with lawyers that charge you for ‘’paper work’’ that were never filed. I get this lawyer to represent me to find out 5 month later that lawyer is no longer with the firm and i get a new lawyer thats higher tier and more expensive! Without my concern nor knowing my financial state. Been on a case for 11 month and have paid $9,100 got caught up and now owe $9,500 on top of the $9,100 i paid so $18,600 later the new lawyer resign the case! Due to the unpaid balance. So i just paid $9,100 for what again? Oh for nothing

So pls save your money and time to look for a firm that care about you and dont make a fast decision like i did and give this people your business.

I went in facing a terribly stressful family ordeal, and from my initial consultation with Helen White, to my preferred attorney, Nicholas, Stange provided me with a strategy that made me feel confident. Nicholas was on the spot, and extremely professional. I really enjoyed that I had direct access to him and made me feel welcome to contact him at anytime. Nicholas was rapid to respond to any and all requests I made, and was extremely timely with all the case filings. The online portal makes it easy to upload and view documents with your attorney's and stay connected with your case.

One area that I found the most impressive, was the resources available to the staff at Stange...and time-and-time again, Nicholas was able to move quickly and efficiently through my case. Nicholas was very punctual and sent me a few reminders to ensure I didn't miss any deadlines, so his organization was fantastic. He was also extremely personable to meet with, and did a great job of staying focused with the case to ensure I didn't spend more money than needed. I wish I had hired Tina Cox when my case first happened. I was later referred to her, and that is when my case moved forward! She listened, took action, and really knew what to do. I met with Anthony Jones in the Overland Park office on May 8th. I requested Anthony to review a Legal Separation draft that was drawn up in CA. Anthony made it clear that he was not licensed in CA, but that he would review the draft agreement for any obvious gaps and make appropriate recommendations for changes. I signed the appropriate consent documents and Anthony took my credit card to charge for services rendered. I was required to have my changes back to the Mediation Attorney by June 6th. Anthony agreed to have his review completed by May 15th. I had not heard anything from Anthony by May 22nd, so I called his office and made an appointment to see Anthony on May 24th. I received a call from a Stange Law Firm office staff member an hour before our scheduled meeting stating the Anthony could not take my case because he was not licensed in the state of CA.

If this was the case, why did Anthony agree to take the case in our original meeting? Why did he not follow-up with me during the 2 weeks that he had agreed to be working on my case? Why did he waste 2 weeks of my limited time to complete the draft document review? I requested to have Anthony call me back directly. Of course he never did.

Anthony is the lead attorney at the Overland Park office. If he is the Lead Attorney, I can't imagine the unprofessional job done by the lower experienced attorneys! This was extremely unprofessional and aggravating experience!

They are very manipulative and immoral. I told them upfront my situation and what I could afford and asked how much was this going to cost and they assured me that it shouldn’t cost more than what exceeded the amount of what I thought was just a retainer fee. They ended up saying that they do not and will not honor what was explained verbally but only adhering to the contract in which I was misguided into signing leaving my family homeless and in great financial debt. My husband and I had NOTHING! We were not currently fighting or anything.Not even a single vehicle . No TVs, furniture, nothing . We had 3 children and I’m physically and mentally disabled ALL in which Igers knew and has taking advantage of robbing my family of several thousands of dollars over a divorce that shouldn’t have even exceeded $1000 dollars. I’m very hurt and misrepresented and absolutely do not recommend them to anyone as their firm comes off very nice but they are VERY Unethical and dishonest.
