I went to see Lisa after my initial mediation failed. My case was strictly over time-sharing for my son. I wanted equal time with my son and my ex wanted full custody. Lisa fought for what I wanted. Everything I wanted, which was reasonable, Lisa accomplished for me. My son is my world and since she fought for what was clearly in his best interest, she was worth every penny.

Lisa Baird represented me in a divorce case that was complicated by the marriage being entered in another country under special circumstances. We initiated the divorce process and went through some back and forth legal battles, but neither party really wanted to go through an even lengthier and more expensive trial, so we tried to settle through mediation. Lisa and her staff helped me in all the proceedings up to the mediation and she advised me of what I could expect if we took the case to court in terms of assets and liability split, custody of our child, length of alimony and what to pay based on my income, etc. After two long days of mediation, we ended up settling and even though I felt the US legal system was completely running over/disrespecting a contract entered in a country with much longer legal and democratic system than here, I realize that things could have gone a lot worse, too and under the circumstances I believe Lisa with her legal arguments helped me get the best result possible.

When I initially did my research to find a lawyer, I interviewed 3 different ones and Lisa was the most expensive of the 3, but I felt she was worth it based on the interview, her experience and reviews from other people. It turned out to be true and the main difference between Lisa snd the other lawyers was that she from the start told me how much I could expect this to cost based on my input and what I wanted, whereas the two others I interviewed used best cases that quickly turned out not to be realistic at all. Lisa was upfront with me with everything from costs to pros and cons of possible legal actions, she was well prepared and her staff all did excellent work. Another thing that I liked was that Lisa was always easy to get a hold of and answered mails quickly despite her busy schedule, far from all lawyers do that. Based on all of above, I would naturally highly recommend her.

I separated from my now ex husband and initially sought counsel for child support unconnected to a divorce. What I wanted was a "pitbull" in the court room and Lisa Baird was that, but with A LOT of class. She was upfront with me regarding all of my options and possible outcomes (good and bad). She even offered other solutions that would cost less and be just as effective. She's EXTREMELY knowledgeable with federal employees, focused, precise, highly intelligent, confident, professional and QUICK on her feet! She's VERY AGGRESSIVE and METHODICAL in her thought process and will devise a plan with alternative solutions that works for you. She prepared me very well for my hearing, worked late and extensively on my case, and combed through every minor detail...she didn't miss a beat! When I had my first court appearance I was not prepared for how prepared Lisa was! She had all her exhibits (from A-Z) and wrecked the opposing counsels defense with very little effort. I literally observed her confidently sashay around that courtroom giving the judge her evidence all while defending my cause. I felt as if she took my case personally and was fighting for her own rights. I walked out of that court room impressed and amazed with her knowledge base and skill and as the victor for my kids. With my final divorce she fought very hard for me and got me what I wanted, but the most important thing I got was a majority tmesharing with my kids which apparently the courts try to push for 50-50 schedules.
For a woman who has no kids she is passionate about her cause and will fight for and with you. One thing her staff always said to me is "Lisa doesn't have any kids so her clients are her babies!" Lisa Baird represented me in a very difficult two year custody battle involving two children and a very complicated case that started out in two states. Opposing party and the initial hearing judge wanted the case moved out of FL, contrary to the law. Lisa was able to stick to her guns and forced the court to uphold the law and keep the case in FL, saving me considerable expenses not having to hire two teams of attorneys in two states. She then systematically picked apart the opposing party’s case line by line, proving their case was nothing but complete falsehoods. She’s very aggressive and an excellent strategist. When she learned all about my case, she devised a specific path for us to pursue and remained focused on it. I couldn’t be more grateful to her and her team for the professionalism and knowledge of family case law they displayed, and in the end we were able to not only win the case, but we got just about everything we initially set out to obtain and she was able to prevent the case from becoming what would have surely been an expensive and lengthy trial.
