These people are criminals themselves. I paid them 2500 dollars and the sent me to 2 or 3 different people and charged me 300 to 400 a pop to talk to these people and in the end had nothing to do with my case. My prior attorney who originally handled my divorce has retired and I needed a bit more follow up on my divorce Separation Agreement.
After my consultation with James, I walked away feeling more empowered and educated. I am looking forward to retaining this attorney firm if, as James discussed with me- I actually need to. That is hard to believe that a "lawyer" would not want money immediately, but wanted me to take some time to reflect on our meeting and his advice. That set him apart for sure. I felt he was already acting in a fiduciary capacity with my best interest ahead of simply "gaining another client and retainer fee". The reason for four stars is I have not actually retained them yet so I am unsure of how the relationship would progress and what my final outcome would be. But, I will certainly say- if it is anything like my consultation, that 5th star will be forthcoming. The only thing I ended up having issues with was the amount that the divorce cost. I felt it cost a lot more than it should have for a non-contested, non-custodial divorce. I did not expect the bill to be so high and felt blindsided by it. Otherwise, it was an overall good experience.
