I love that Mary Kay offers a free consultation. It's important to be able to meet a prospective attorney and learn more about the process without already having to pay a legal fee. Mary Kay is smart, tough, kind, and has the BEST paralegal on the planet.

The receptionist Scott was very rude. I specifically picked a woman attorney hoping to receive compassion during an extremely stressful time in my life. All I got was rude instructions and then he changed his mind on the instructions he gave me. When I asked a question he didn't give a real reply and told me "you know". If i knew I wouldn't have asked. I left in tears without even receiving my consult. I do not recommend this office if you need compassion. You won't receive it. He didn't even call to me or all me what was wrong. No compassion at all.
Mary and her staff are great to work with. They care....

Mary Kay and Donna are two of the most incredible women in the world. They are both extremely good at what they do.

Very disappointed, I was told I would get half of everything but ended up with very little spousal support. Mary was just anxious to get it over with at the mediation. The whole divorce process lasted 7 months because my lawyer went on vacation or took her time filing stuff. I spent about $4000 for nothing.

From the moment I met Mary Kay and her staff, I began to relax for the very first time in a very long time. Contrary from my expectations of entering yet another stuffy, sterile law office, her office was lovely, comfortable and inviting - the kind of place I don't mind going to. Her staff members have all been with her for several years and they all work really well as a team. I believe her senior certified paralegal has over 25 years of service in family law and her certified junior paralegal has 2.5 years of service in family law. Mary Kay has been practicing family law for more than ten years and doesn't take any crap from anyone and didn't make me feel the least bit unintelligent, even though I was a hot mess most of the time. The only time Donna or Mary Kay was unavailable was because they were at family law continuing education seminars or some sort of law update - which is good right? Otherwise, Mary Kay has a relatively open-door policy and someone has always been there to answer my questions - which, during two rounds of having to go to court (once for a rather messy divorce and once to get my *****ing ex to actually pay me) have been numerous. The best part is, if one of them doesn't know the answer, esp. if it's an issue specific to my case, they don't just tell me whatever to get me off the phone - even when I have been an emotional basket case - they actually check and get the right information and call me back or email me. There was one occasion when I didn't actually get everything I wanted during my case and my first impulse was to be mad at Mary Kay, but it wasn't her fault. It is really hard to predict what a judge will order sometimes and although she had prepared me for the worst, I actually came out with a screaming deal when I look at the whole picture. Bottom line, this experience has been hell and no matter how stellar your attorney is (and Mary Kay is pretty damn good), it sucks - even when you win! I can not say enough about how awesome this office is. They don't make you feel like one of many, many "clients" - they make you feel cared about and like you can trust them with this stuff that continues to impact you for the rest of your life or at least until your children are grown. Mary Kay has done free consultations for a few people I have recommended to her and they got some great advice and enough direction to make decisions. She didn't make them feel obligated in any way to retain her, although one may be retaining her soon.

Mary Kay is an amazing attorney! She provides great results and solves issues quickly. Mary Kay is honest about the potential outcomes even if it may be hard to hear at times. She and her team did an excellent job with my case! I absolutely recommend her legal services, thank you so much Mary Kay!

Mary Kay is an abrasive, disorganized, unprofessional bully. Do yourself a favor and find an atty that understands their role in your case (and life) and respects professional distance. I fired her and won my case with my new atty, who behaved like a paid professional rather than like he was doing me a favor.
