I worked extensively with Ms. Kuffer on my case. Her office staff is readily available and worked to get me in with any questions, either via phone call directly or email within 24hrs, can’t say that for other lawyers offices who I’ve seen struggle to even return a call. When talking out terms with Ms. Kuffer she clearly explained the law to me without using fancy jargon or technical terms. I was overtly grateful for the attention to detail and dedication to resolve the case as quickly as possible. I would definitely recommend her office and service to anyone looking for a professional, responsive, and reliable attorney!

This law firm is a JOKE.!! If you want someone to stand up for you, this is NOT the place. If you want someone who knows the law, this is NOT the place. This law firm will go into court for you and literally fold like a tent. They will take on cases that they have no idea how to deal with and charge you THOUSANDS of dollars. They will tell you all these sweet sounding lies about how you "have a good case" but turn around and tell you they dont know how to represent you after they have already charged you for things they never even did. This law firm is greedy and absolutely stupid.

At first upon meeting Dorene and Edward very impressed with the detailed process explained as well as outcome possibilities. First court date was canceled. I felt they should have check there dockets prior to charging us to go to court with no judge there. When we did go to court few words were said for our defense. I would recommend making sure Dorene is going to represent you to avoid any confusion like I had. Didn’t work out for us but it may for others.

I contacted a few law offices before I decided to make an appointment. Some Attorney’s offices I contacted rushed me through my call. Some offices I left voicemails with, contacted me days later. Upon contacting the Law Office of Dorene A. Kuffer I was pleasantly surprised to have someone on the other end of the phone who didn't make me feel as if I was inconveniencing them. The lady on the other end asked if she could put me on hold to see if there was an Attorney who could speak with me immediately. I was directed to Attorney Edward W. Lovato. I informed Mr. Lovato what my legal wishes were and he informed me that their office would be able to assist me. I set an appointment for the following week. Mr. Lovato was competent and professional. Mr. Lovato called me to follow up. Mr. Lovato specialized a plan to suit my legal needs, while not wasting my time or money. I would recommend Mr. Lovato and use him in future.

My case was a jurisdiction issue and was handled swiftly and efficiently. They made my case a priority and we had a positive outcome. I can’t say enough good things about Dorene and Ed. Worth the money!

This was a complete disaster that cost me $12k and I was blamed for it by this Dorene. Even the judge said this was an excessive amount of money for this case. Dorene took over my case after one of her attorneys Brooke Acosta left me and my case out of no where. Brooke was absolutely horrible, unethical, unprepared, did not inform me, I had to try to be the expert and of course I wasn't that's why I hired them and it cost me me and my kids our future in a time where it mattered in my life. I was initially told the case would cost about $4k (no court), but I sure didn't read my final paperwork before signing (deceiving for sure). 'I' was getting charged $500 everytime my ex would not respond to emails, so they would keep sending them. Maybe if Dorene had taken the case from the beginning things would have gone smoothly but from her hearing hear say (not knowing truth) she was very judgmental toward me from the beginning and basically blamed me for the outcomes of my case. I hired this law firm because they were the experts not me and majority of time I had to try hard to be the expert because if I didn't I got screwed...in which I did. They have enough experience to know what your case involves, what to ask for, advise you what to ask for, but nope you're on your own on that one. I shouldn't have to think of everything under the sun regarding my case, but that's how you have to be with this firm. Honestly I think you only matter to them if your income is over $200k a year other than that they'll easily just take your money and not fight for you the way they should...or the way it costs. They kept saying my ex was causing me to spend more money or because I didn't communicate well the 1st month the WHOLE outcome was my fault. All this office cares about is the $250/$350 an hour and in my case didn't care about me as a client period. Even up to the end once they got their last payment they did not respond to any more of my emails. They cost me another $6k because their office did not catch a date that my ex husband's lawyer put in the final divorce decree and therefore wanted me to pay probably another $5k to fix it when I already paid them to catch things like that. All they care about is you feeding them money $350/hr for an email....on a small note they took a few payments from me instead of needing all the $12k up front ...they should've fixed THEIR mistake in my divorce decree for free!!

Edward represented me in a professional, knowledgeable, and timely manner in all aspects of my case. The bottomline is, my case was dismissed because of his efforts. I would highly recommend Edward Lovato to anyone seeking legal counsel.

I found this law firm to be extremely helpful.
Often times in life we find ourselves in extremely precarious situation.. in my case it had to do with my children. And this nice attorney called me and explained all of the ramifications..she did not charge me for the consultation but she said if the government persists in harassing me to call her immediately.

after 20 mins on hold I'm told it will cost $325 for a consultation. Obviously all about the money. No thanks.

I don’t know any reason why anyone wouldn't use this law firm. Dorene and her staff are amazing. Dorene was actually the attorney that had my case but yes she used others to help her when needed, but that’s a good sign for anyone. My case was very involved and had a lot of detail. So let’s make it really simple. I was looking at close to a half million dollars in support to my ex-wife. Keep in mind there were no children of the marriage involve. With Dorene and her staff I only ended up paying 45k in support. Tell me that’s not a huge win for anyone. She never refused to return a call or answer a question and the firm paid the ultimate attention to detail for my case. If you need an attorney, call her and move forward with her. She will make you incredibly comfortable. She saved me for sure. The rates are fare and compatible with any other attorney. And before I forget she also handled my criminal case on a bogus charge filed by my ex-wife and yes charges were dismissed on that case. They are life savers for sure. I highly recommend Dorene and her firm for your attorney needs. Good luck, because if you have to call Dorene you better hire her. She will win for you. I forgot to mention my case was nearly a year in its process and this form was worth every penny spent.

She steals your money

She is a thief and will not represent you in court like she is suppose to she does not bring up the IMPORTANT facts...she is extremely unethical and works with cyfd to steal your money...she stole almost close to 40000 just for a restraining order...she is a waste of money and time ...do not use Dorene she is awful...the worst in ABQ which others have said as well

Although hard, my experience with the Kuffer Law Firm in handling my divorce was very positive. Dorene Kuffer and all of her staff were always there for me in a professional and caring way.
