She told me I wasn’t going to get approved but still took my case. She made it seem like my case was going to be a waste of her time. The judge approved my case, too bad I had to pay her. She doesn’t want what’s best for people.

Careful with her representation! She denied a larger widows pay I could have received, failed to report I was working to the Social security which caused an overpayment of $3670!!Social security has my file so messed up due to her less than competent conduct that I havent received anything steady since I was awarded! She close my case file with me almost financially ruined and homeless!! And having to clean up her so called legal representation! I filed a complaint against her also be careful Albuquerque she did it to me and she can do it to you!!

I lost 20 thousand in back pay.Stay away from Michelle Baca if you want your case handled correctly....Two years almost and I still upset. Get your hopes up and get all your records have you sign than ssi says won't let you submit any paperwork cuz they sent a letter stating that they are representing you and than it takes 3 weeks to get a letter stating they arent

The staff is so friendly in my personal opinion. I've seen reviews that state it takes years for them to get your case stared and that they were unprofessional, and also take 30% or more once case is approved...from my experience that wasn't so, I asked a couple of times how much they take if your case is approved and the response was the highest they can take is 25%. They give you a print out of any information about the fees and where they go. I went to Michelle Baca and associates to help me file my case about two months ago and since day one they've been on it! I've never had an issue with anyone in miss Baca's office. I would and have recommended them to anyone who needs assistance filing for their disability/SSI.

Waited for years! Hired this lawyer thinking she would do her best to help me! I’m a single mother of 4 kids! I have a lot of medical problems and can’t work!!! I applied for social security benefits just to get denied. I did all the work of getting all my medical records and paid for them out of my own pocket. My lawyer just had to do a good job representing me at my court hearing but didn’t really speak For me or defend me. She just advised me to answer the questions the judge had. It was like I was representing myself. She told me answer the questions and keep your answer short truthful and to the point. Don’t go on explaining any details! I think if I had explained my situation more instead of taking my attorneys advice. I think my case would of gone better. Now I have to appeal the decision and wait even longer! I have to Look for a new attorney and struggle with my medical conditions while I struggle taking care of my children! They really don’t seem to care to help a single mother that truly needs the help for her children!

extremely unorganized, lost two and half worth of years of records. Only spoke to one time and assistant twice... ever! I am a photographer and client of mine backed out and said that she was afraid of me and that i threatened her, long story short it was bs the case wasn't real just friend who is a lawyer. But Michelle spoke with this woman and whatever she told her she called me next and tells me that she cant be my lawyer because im threatening women lmao omg!!! So i tell her can I come right now and show you my laptop my emails my Facebook everything there is nothing I didn't do anything wrong, her words were "no I dont want to see anything you have to show me" as if she was now her attorney or something it was very strange and made me cry for the first time a long time, for a very long time. My whole life depends on this case and we are about to go to court this next month and I cant even afford food let alone another lawyer so I guess I am going by my self and I have no idea what I am doing. Thanks Michele thanks for screwing me. If you know how long this process is you know Im still on my first try and at the point I really need her otherwise she doesn't know I exist. Be careful not to make any rich people mad because if you cant pay a lawyer to squash what they are saying they can walk all over you I guess, I thought that was defamation of character

Very unprofessional, They called me and yelled at me without letting me speak. they made me believe that I was responsible for having an issue in my paperwork, once I waited at Social Security I found out it was Baca's office who had made the error but they blamed me! This law office does not respect or understanding mental health diagnosis which was obvious by the way they treated me even when I explained myself to them. If they expect to take such a big percentage out of my back pay they should at the very least check their facts before contacting clients to yell at them and make them believe it is their fault. I had to put one star in order to post this, if I could I would have given them NO stars!

Very unprofessional! Waited a week for my appointment, confirmed the day before and then get a call to move my appointment up almost 2 hours. When i live across town and have obligations to take care of, not so awesome. How do you expect me to trust that you will show up any other time? This was the first meeting! Not comfortable with a practice that starts out that way. Then to be thrown on hold when trying to get an explanation, i found dismissive. Thanks, but no thanks, I'll take my business elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience with Ms. Baca's office. Her legal assistant, Kathy Sanchez was quite rude and hateful. She was dismissive, waving her hands and not permitting me to complete a sentence.
She had the nerve to tell me, "With that attitude, Michelle probably wouldn't take your case anyway." How insulting! Talk about attitude.
I went there for professional advice, not her personal opinion of me. I would not recommend anyone to this office. There are plenty of other places where a person can get assistance and be treated professionally. Kathy does not represent her employer well.
