I just want to thank HKM Employment Attorneys LLP from the very bottom of my heart!! They have been such an amazing Law Firm to work with through this very difficult time in my life. I want to just start by saying this, "I was about to give up my search for representation with my case when I found HKM." The reason was because no one wanted to sit down with me to hear my case out without trying to charge me a fortune. I really didn't understand doing business this way, considering the circumstances in which folks usually contact this type of attorney. I totally understand that you have to pay something to get something. HKM made that "something" very affordable for anyone. They gave me plenty of time to get my initial fee together also and didn't pressure me at all about calling back or coming in.

I would like to thank Ciara first and foremost for being such a great frontline of your business. Ciara absolutely 110% makes everything very clear right from the start. She is very thorough with what is going to happen and when things will happen. (as much as she possibly can, that is.) You just cannot give time frames when it comes to this stuff. There are just too many moving parts to be able to forecast when your case is going to move. They also don't just make up time frames to just get rid of you, either. Ciara is very very clear as to what could possibly happen and how long those things will take. Be patient. Trust me, they are working as hard and as fast for you as they possibly can. These things take time.

I would like to thank Dr. Foley. She is an absolute amazing attorney who knows what she is doing. Dr. Foley is nothing but professional, not to mention very easy to speak with, not threatening or intimidating at all. I felt very comfortable sitting with her in the office, going through my claim. These are not easy things to speak about or explain to people and Dr. Foley's bed-side manner makes you feel comfortable. The most important thing that Dr. Foley has helped me with was feeling empowered. A big company treated me unfairly and I wasn't feeling too great about myself, but after I sat with Jenny and she explained my options, I felt 100 times stronger and I was sure, that I made the correct decision to get legal help for my situation.

I would recommend these attorneys to anyone I know that is facing similar situations. I've only met Marta a few times in passing, but she was very nice and personable. An intake specialist called me half asleep and annoyed by my account of events. This law firm is racist and anti black. Please keep that in mind when calling. Save your time if your black. I had retained representation from another law firm. After wasting over a year I called a friend who referred me to HKM. I called and spoke to Ciara and she set an appointment with Ms. Foley, one of the attorneys at the practice.

So first impressions are everything. You only get one chance. I quickly called after the rave reviews my friend gave me. Ciara answered the phone and asked a few important questions and had Ms. Foley return my call after she had a chance to review the case that was pending with the counselor that was taking my case because he was hungry. My case is an employment case and he was a PI attorney. Good thing I called because the attorney had just called and let me know he couldn’t properly represent me and my case was out of his wheelhouse.

Ms. Foley called as promised and we discussed my case. After our conversation Ms. Foley thought my case was a good one and the paperwork to switch representation was made.

I dealt with the other lawyer for over a year and I don’t think I took one step forward and I had to do most of the work that he or his assistant should have been doing.
