When I met Sheri I wasn't sure how things would go in court. My impression of family law had always been what the mother wants goes and it doesn't matter what the father or the children feel or what is best for the children. Sheri guided me through each step educating me along the way. She eased my mind and nervousness allowing me to stand up for my children as they had asked me to. Although my journey is far from over she has helped me to finally get my children out of a very bad situation. I do not know where my family would be if it wasn't for Sheri's help through this process. She is excellent and professional. I recommend her to anyone going through custody issues in family court.

Sheri has been amazing through this entire process. Never would I have imagined being taken through so many hoops when wanting what's best for our family. Sheri was the answer to our prayers. She is extremely kind, patient, & passionate about what she does. She stood for us and turned our defeat into victory. We are forever grateful. At no point did she make us feel that she was not keeping our families best interest at heart. She is absolutely the best at what she does.
The following is my experience and opinion of Ms. Mount performance as one of the assigned counsel on divorce case. Ms Mount was brought into my everlasting divorce case to bring it to a close. By that I mean, take to trial. Once onboard, Ms. Mount got drawn into my ex-wife’s tedious financial grind of litigating even the tiniest aspect of the divorce. It mostly had to do with the return of my property (to include work related items) or the division of community property. Of course the more the attorneys argued, the more billable hours there were. The other main issue was characterization of worker's comp funds received during the divorce. For that, a forensic account was stipulated to by both parties. At issue was about $300,000. Also at issue, was the sale of two rental homes. Those funds were deposited into a trust account totaling ~$178,000. Our divorce began in 2004. By 2010 I VERY much wanted to get our case before a judge. With six years experience in the Family Court system under my belt, I knew it would be the ONLY way to FINALLY get divorced and move on with life. Over time, the hearings, and of course legal fees, mounted with no end in sight. Between the months of December 2009 and February 2010, I had $31,000 in legal fees. In that time, there was a hearing or two and a deposition. None of it appeared to bring us closer to trial (i.e. the finish line); just spinning my (expensive) wheels in one place. In April 2010 Ms. Mount began the pressure me into resolving the matter through arbitration. I was dead-set against it. Her paralegal called me at work almost every day for a week, I still did not agree. Finally, Ms. Mount herself called me to extol the virtues of not only arbitration, about the arbitrator himself, Mr. Richard Harris. Consequently, I felt I had no choice but to truckle to her pressure. Once in arbitration, Ms. Mount refused to use the stipulated forensic accountant’s analysis/report of disputed funds. Ms. Mount also stipulated to $115,000 of those disputed funds WITHOUT my permission. Moreover, Ms. Mount allowed my ex-wife to use HER financial tracing of commingled funds without disputing it whatsoever. Needless to say, it was a financial ‘bloodbath’ for me. It gets worse… During the arbitration, Mr. Harris completed his 1st proposed Arbitrators Award. With all other matters settled (however badly), the remaining issue was about $99,000 (from the sale of the rental homes) and some of my misc. personal property (i.e. tools, etc.). My ex-wife, having been awarded the family home (20 ac. ranch) and misc. property, (fencing, horses, tac, etc.), I was awarded ~$66,000 of the $99,000. Needless to say, opposing counsel disputed his Award. It was at that time Ms. Mount went MIA. An extended period of time went by without any response to opposing counsel’s dispute to the award. At one point I received an e-mail from Ms. Mount's secretary that said they had not heard from her in about a week. Since there was no opposition from Ms. Mount, Mr. Harris wrote a 2nd Arbitrator's Award- this one yielding to opposing counsel’s disputed points. To put that in dollars and cents, I lost ~$33,000. I was finally told Ms. Mount was ill, so out of desperation, I decided to represent myself. I wrote my own dispute letter to the 2nd Arbitrator's Award. Mr. Harris made minor changes to the Award but refused to change it any further as, by this time, there were a total of 3 Awards written by him. By that time, my case was almost 8(!) years old and was STILL not settled. I sought out a law firm to represent me. Unfortunately, but this time, my ex was now dating my co-worker who had plenty of money to impress her with and spend on my divorce.

Sheri has represented me for the past few years during a very difficult child custody case. Sheri is a excellent attorney. She was highly recommended and with good reason. She gets results. She’s very professional and also compassionate. She took the time to listen when I needed someone. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. I’m so glad I made the decision to hire her.

I have had Sheri for about 6 months as my attorney and she is great very professional and takes time to make sure you understand the details I got caught off guard with my divorce and my ex-spouse basically set me up to make me look like I was something I am not and tried to take everything from me but thank God I took my time to research and find a good lawyer and Sheri has been a great lawyer I am currently still going through the process but we got most of the issues handled with only two issues left and it's been in my favor I would recommend you to hire Sheri as your attorney as most of us we know little about family law I was very stressed depressed and worried because I knew little about certain factors but Sheri has been a breath of fresh air and has helped with every detail without her I think I would have got crushed in court I thank God that I have a good lawyer
