There’s no great experience filing for divorce I would guess, however, Lasky Law was attentive, communicated well with me, and my attorney stood next to me and fought well on my behalf. Their retainer was competitive. Even though it seemed to go quite quickly what I got in return I felt was above what they were asking. My experience with the Lasky law firm was less than stellar, in fact I’d recommend looking elsewhere for representation. I was recently “represented” by John Clark in a non-contested 50/50 custody case. At first everything went very smoothly, the communication was great and I felt he was very eager to help me get everything finalized. About 2 months into it everything seemed to go downhill. I would email or call monthly to check on things (most of which were never returned). After 4 months of waiting for them to finally respond to the opposing attorney I was contacted by my daughters mother to try to figure out why their attempts weren’t responded to. Needless to say, I contacted John to inform him we needed to finish this ASAP... fast forward 3 weeks and 3 unreturned phone calls, I emailed John to inform him I no longer needed him as he was hindering our case and not helping, he responded in 15 minutes and had the paperwork to withdraw from our case within a few hours. I chose to represent myself and went before a judge within 4 days after waiting almost a year on John. Do yourself a favor and go to someone who will dedicate the attention you deserve for your case, because you won’t get that here.

I have waited 8 months after my divorce to write this review because I wanted the emotional dust to settle. Bottom line up front, while there are a few good employees at Lasky Law Firm, I would recommend you seek representation elsewhere.

The 2 shining stars of Lasky Law Firm are Senior Paralegal Desire' and Discovery Paralegal Stephanie. These 2 promptly returned emails and phone calls with concise answers. I can honestly say that it was a pleasure dealing with Stephanie and Desire'. They attempted to understand or could identify with any situation. Their attention, professionalism and genuine caring attitude was conveyed in every interaction.

I was poorly represented by Cindy Lasky in court and also in mediation, which has placed me in a serious financial hardship. Cindy told me prior to mediation that in order for it to be successful, "both parties should gain and lose something at mediation." Cindy and the mediator pressured me to accept the offers presented by my ex and her attorney even though the offers were very lopsided. The end result was my ex gained a lot and I lost tremendously; I did not feel that I had gained a single thing. There are several issues where I should have been better represented; issues that an attorney should have been able to identify and address, rather than add to the chaos, assuring me that this was "a good deal".

Cindy notified me the night prior to my final court date that she would not attend court with me, and that John Clark would be present in her place. I was surprised, but I suppose her not appearing would eliminate any opportunity for me to voice my displeasure in the outcome of mediation. I never met John prior to my court date, but he did an outstanding job and was highly professional.

Cindy always seemed distracted and not focused during one on one situations. She does not listen well to her clients. Numerous times she would ask me a question and seconds after I began to reply, she would talk over me. This made phone calls impossible because I knew I was being billed for the call and would have to spend triple the amount of time to answer her question.

My experience with Lasky Law Firm was so bad that I recently went to her competitor to review my divorce documentation to see if anything could be done regarding the sale of the marital home. Unfortunately, this is one of those issues where an attorney at mediation should have looked out for their client's best interest, instead of hurrying them to accept the "good deal".

I was referred to Cindy Lasky from another attorney and I am so pleased with the results. I am in the midst of a very difficult, emotional divorce case and Cindy and her amazing team have been on top of it the entire way. Cindy is very knowledgeable about the court system and the law and is very upfront and realistic about what you should expect. Sometimes I don't think she is human - she works crazy hours to take care of her clients! Her team is so compassionate and helpful. I would highly recommend this law firm.

I used the Lasky law firm in a custody dispute. I was working 60 hours a week and at the end of my rope. I got all of the paperwork together and submitted it, a massive amount of paperwork. Contacted the law firm a few weeks later and they had lost it all. I had to re-submit everything. My entire financial background was packaged together and then lost. The entire affair was a fiasco. When we finally made it to mediation, they sent a student or a new hire, I forget exactly, who had no idea who I was, the logistics of the case, or anything pertinent. I was an overworked single dad who needed help, and all this firm did was treat me like garbage and cash the checks. If you are a single dad, think long and hard about what is written here when choosing a lawyer. One of the biggest mistakes I ever made.

Lawyer is terminating representation due to the fact I won’t pay for an all day mediation that shouldnt take longer than an hour. Performance has been lackluster to this point and as an out of state client has done nothing but charge fees for underperforming. Now when representation is most critical walks away because even though everyone knows the mediation won’t take long wants a whole days worth of representation paid. Would not recommend this law firm to anyone. I have used different family lawyers for custody disputes and have never had any negative feedback for any of those law firms. I hired Lasky law firm for my modification of custody and relocation case. My case was a tough one, as the child involved had lived locally her entire life! I was advised it was an uphill battle and the burden of proof was completely on me. Throughout this case, not only did Cindy Lasky work diligently and honestly on my case, but I also came to know much of her staff on a first name basis. Cindy's team, as well as herself worked tirelessly from the first moment. Not for one minute did I ever feel alone in my fight! I was consistently assisted with what artifacts I would need to fulfill the burden of proof. Many nights and weekends I spoke personally with Cindy or a member of her team, each person "knowing" my case inside and out! There was not one person I did not completely entrust my case to! Cindy Lasky not only met with myself, but also my family and friends to introduce us to the court atmosphere to alleviate stress and fear.
