I can't grasp why they can't help me knowing someone will never finish holding the case it should have a staute of limitations.. On some things. Or just a better understanding of the help you can receive

Legal aid of Cobb County refuses to represent or even give any type of legal advice to a respondent in any type of restraining order does that mean all of us guys are telling a lie how can they take taxes from us and not give us any legal advice whatsoever

I was called to answer questions of my case, so I left a voicemail of my answer but today l called to see when I would speak to someone and was told we don’t qualify due to income..if this was the case then why didn’t Norma start with that versus getting my hopes up . I honestly believe that they pick and choose who they help. Also, if you have a Hispanic person working there...they should only speak with Spanish clients if their accent is too harsh and I speak Spanish myself but when it comes to serious matters, I prefer clarity in the conversation.

I was fortunate to have had the experience of being represented by Jo Nelson, and of course, the entire office staff. I am a senior who had an unscrupulous landlord and my situation was dealt with expeditiously and professionally. If it were not for the funding that makes this service available, I don't know what I would have done.

I used legal aid in cobb county before, and all I have to say is DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME! The attorney assigned did absolutely nothing for my case. He met with me for 5 minutes before my case and did not have a game plan. Terrible company, they are so unorganized. He did a continuous just to not be prepared for the next court date. What a waste of time. You are better off paying for a hired lawyer or representing yourself. They must have gotten these lawyers who barely passed law school. Terrible, terrible, terrible!

Won't even try to help you or answer a simple question if you're outside of their income limits. Legal aid? For who??? You gotta be bottom of the barrel broke to get help these days? And the alternative they offered is as much as some private attorneys talking about a $600 retainer and $75 and hour. They aren't trying to help. People in high stress situations looking for help like this simply just want to be treated kindly and feel like someone is trying to help. If we felt like we could afford other options we wouldn't come to you anyway.

I called just before 12:00pm to simply ask a question and was hung up on repeatedly by the receptionist. All I wanted to do was ask a question but as I began to talk after being sure she could hear me, she would disconnect the call. After my third attempt, I was sent to a voice recording stating the lunch hours which happened to be between 12pm and 1pm. I've never used Legal Aid and only wanted to ask one question. I cannot believe the amount of disrespect I was shown... well actually I can...
Thank you Legal Aid Cobb County.

If attorney Abena Abayomi-Rogers is an example of their integrity then they need to revamp their whole system. This attorney was the worst. She took a calm and relatively peaceful child custody case and turned it into something ugly. She ignored facts as well as my grandsons' cries for help before her very eyes. I'm considering reporting her to the board of ethics.
