In 2013, my elderly mother hired Charles H. Rice to write a new Last Will and Testament for her in order to ensure that my mentally disabled brother’s needs would be met in the event of my Mother’s death.
Charles Rice listened carefully to my Mother’s concerns, researched the complex issues involved , and wrote a new will which included a “special needs trust” for my brother in the event of my Mother’s death. My Mother was extremely impressed by Charles Rice’s knowledge of the issues and his pleasant demeanor.
In 2016, when my Mother passed away, I contacted Charles Rice to ask for his guidance with the probate process and with the establishment of the “special needs trust” for my brother. Charles Rice guided me through the complicated legal issues, provided instructions regarding the step-by-step probate process, and answered all of my questions and concerns. When my brother passed away before my Mother’s probate period ended, Charles Rice guided me through the changes that were required for the closure of my Mother’s estate and resolution of a Medicaid lien against my brother’s estate.
