I called to inquire about services for my demented father. The intake counselor asked me to describe his situation and then proceeded to tell me all the ways they couldn't help. I described him as a home owner and they didn't even offer their services for asset protection. She suggested that we 'work on' getting power of attorney but didn't offer to help prepare this document. I cannot imagine that my father's situation is very unique for those with dementia and am surprised that they didn't have better dialogue in place to initiate services for people calling for help. Perhaps they're more invested in work with established clients like nursing homes or assisted living facilities. The reception I got is just in such stark contrast to the reviews I've read regarding how they assist the elderly in this phase of life. Me contacting you on my father's behalf is 'working on it', but you steered me in another direction. I"m glad you've provided services to other more graciously.

Dealings with our family's female lawyer at this Law Firm was not the BEST EXPERIENCE one could ask for at a difficult time! To cap it off, after sending our 90 year old parent to an Assisted Living facility in Wisconsin to live out her life, our family received both a SYMPATHY E-MAIL & a lovely mailed SYMPATHY CARD with their Law Firm's condolences! We are incredibly grateful to Hurley Eldercare Law for the assistance they gave us with my parents. We have now had them to help us get our own estate in order.

First, my parents.... When it became clear that we would be unable to take care of them, Hurley helped us to get their estate in order to make sure that they would be adequately cared for in Assisted Living and/or in Nursing Homes. Miles Hurley told us about the Veterans Aid and Assistance program which my qualified for as a WWII Veteran. Applying and getting approved is a long process and can be quite arduous. Miles helped us with that and also with their wills and other legal documents so that they were both well cared for and comfortable the rest of their lives!

They even had a nurse on staff who frequently visited my parents in the assisted living center to make sure they were being properly cared for!

The "End of Life" is a series of landmines that could have easily eaten up may parent's entire estate and ours! Thanks to Miles Hurley and his staff, my parents were comfortable and cared for during their last few years, and I am grateful to know that my wife and I will also be comfortable and cared for the rest of our lives!

The folks at Hurley EC Law have been wonderful! They have a complete staff that deals with every detail of family member's care. They have helped my family for twelve months, now. I walked in a year ago without any idea of what I needed to do to help an elder family member. They came up with a plan, assigned staff members to deal with a variety of needs, and continued to keep track of all of these details for the past year. Every person I dealt with at Hurley has been very nice and extremely competent. The staff that handles finances and government forms is very much more competent than an individual would be. They know the routine and requirements needed to get approvals. Hurley has RNs on staff that act as advocates for family members. They visit and check on family members. They crosscheck the medications. They meet along with the family at the nursing home meetings. Every visit to the Hurley office is a pleasant experience. The receptionists are polite, always remember my name, and are quick to help with my requests. I recommend the Hurley EC Law staff wholeheartedly.

They were very understanding of our concerns and knew exactly what we needed to do and explained what the process was to get to the best end result for us. They made things very simple to understand and we were able to get things done very quickly. They gave us a overall cost instead of trying to take advantage of us by billing us by the hour like some other law firms. We could not have been happier with everything they did for us.
