i was really blessed when I found this firm to handle my very unexpected divorce. i had started the daunting task with a different firm, but after lack of service i had to start over and found the Virga law firm. right from the beginning with my first phone consultation all the way to the end, this firm was quick and helped explain things that i didnt understand. for someone who has lived a lifetime believing they would grow old with the one they love, this firm is the only way i was able to see my way through the struggles of divorce. very patient and kind professionals. highly recommend this firm if you're facing family issues.

I had a nasty/psycho neighbor who video recorded me walking my dog on a public street, and ended up submitting a petition for a restraining order against me for stalking. Against all reasonable standards of logic, and with total disregard for the law Judge Jennie Kinsey ruled in her favor, and I had a dvi issued against me for a year. Ms Hadley worked extremely hard for me. She knew that the judge got it wrong, and submitted a request for reconsideration (which judge Kinsey denied) that my appellate lawer says really strengthened my appeal. The judge got it wrong on so many counts, but I'm certain it'll be overturned.

Update 10 may 2019 - As expected the appellate court unanimously reversed Judge Jennie Kinsey’s kangaroo court ruling, and noted she abused her discretion on numerous counts.

If you have a straightforward, uncontested Dissolution that does not involve children, this firm may work for you. However, if your dissolution involves children, larger settlements, alimony, etc, is going to require extensive time, attention, communication, and responsiveness, then this is not the firm that you want representing you with so much at stake. I can only speak from experience, and my decision to hire this firm to represent myself and my children was a mistake that not only cost me thousands of dollars, but has impacted us secondary to what I consider negligible representation. It sounds pretty harsh for a review, however, I would hate for any woman/man to experience the same thing after placing their trust and the fate of their family’s future in the hands of this firm.
Not only is the legal advice/knowledge lacking, you will find that emails/Cleo messages either are seriously delayed, or do not get answered. Phone calls are not returned, even when you call your attorney’s office to advise them that your children were not returned home on the bus and you need to know what you can do (called twice no return call on a Friday). Court documents aren’t filed in a timely manner, even though you as a client have turned them in 3-4 weeks previously. Correspondences from opposing counsel aren’t shared or responded to, causing issues in your case. I could go on, but my hope is that you understand what you would be signing up for. If you think this is an isolated case, I assure you it isn’t.
The payment plan sounds affordable, right? Think about it though. You will get exactly what you pay for each month, no more. If your case starts to become complicated, they are going to lose money on you by spending all that time on you. I assure you, you won’t get that time that you need or want with your attorney; I was told I couldn’t have an appointment with him. Does that sound right?
I ended up firing this firm and retained a new attorney in my case to salvage what she could. What became very apparent right away was that there was a lot of legal information that I was never advised of in regards to what I was entitled to, as well as what should have been going on all along in my case. It has cost my twice as much now to fix what this firm didn’t do right in the first place.
This is my review and I hope each of you seriously think about it before you make a decision. My purpose isn’t to trash the firm, but rather to inform anyone that is looking for help with their dissolution and needs a good attorney. Please keep looking. Your family is worth it.

After looking at all the reviews I decided to try this law firm. My overall review is not for the entire law firm but with just my attorney. Mr. Goodson in the Fort Walton Beach office was all talk during my divorce process. He talked a big game and failed to delivery in every aspect. In his defense I believe he has too many clients making it impossible for him to do a very good job. My kids mom attorney Ms. Greaves ate him alive in every aspect. I honestly felt like it was three against one during my divorce process.

Anyone that has gone through a divorce already knows that it is a stressful time. However, the lack of responding to both me and my ex's attorney made it even more stressful. Mr. Goodson and his team failed to respond in a timely manner. I flew from another country for my final hearing which had to be rescheduled due to Mr. Goodson's team not sending me the requests from opposing attorney until they were already late resulting in the judge granting their request for a continuance. Not only did he fail to send me the items but he failed numerous times with responding to the other attorney.

My ex's attorney Ms. Greaves was constantly fixing the mistakes on the paperwork that he was sending her. I am the one that filed for the divorce but I'm pretty sure Ms. Greaves did at least 75% if not more of the paperwork during the entire process. I have over 25 years of military service and still counting. I highly recommend that all my fellow service men and women and all others avoid Mr. Goodson.

Maybe he does well when he goes against an attorney that is just as overworked as he is. However, when going against someone with the caliber of Ms. Greaves I felt he was completely out of his league.

Again this review is not on the entire law firm but with my experience with my former attorney Mr. Goodson.

Professional attorneys and their location is really close to my house now. A year ago, I went to look into retaining a firm here on the beach, and this law firm was in town. Now, they have a location where Gold's Gym and People's First used to be, behind where the movie theater was and where Rock it Lanes is. They are polite, and I felt welcomed by the lady at the front desk. My attorney was quick to welcome me to the back, and listened to all the details of my case for over an hour, at which time he gave me his analysis of my problem. Worst service I have ever experienced. Terrible at returning phone calls. Let alone asking them to do their job. Always having to hound them to let me know the status of the situation at hand. I would not recommend this business to anyone who is actively wanting to get divorced, etc. Spent well over 3 grand with this law firm and they didn't do anything correct. It was always oh well we didn't do this right we need more money to correct it. Worst law firm in town. I honestly do not know how they have a 5 star rating. Hopefully nobody else has this experience if you use them.
