I was very satisfied with Mr. Kidd services. He is a man of his word and did everything he told me he would. I would highly recommend him . His paralegal is always Available to answer any questions and very attentive.
I waited for several weeks after my case ended to post a review about Daryl Kidds legal services. I waited to be sure the review would be reflective of an honest opinion rather than an emotional outburst. I bring that too light as a preface to what some may consider a harsh review. I want to assure you that this review is well founded and thoughtfully considered. To get straight to the point, Daryl Kidd failed to represent my needs as a lawyer.
Now let's get down to the reasons why I say that:
I would expect a lawyer to have a strong knowledge of the law in the area of his practice. Knowledge of precedence and legal trends, provide legal advice based on wisdom acquired from decades of experience and know the personalities and leanings of the judges. Is this not why we have legal representation, to advise us of the laws, rights, nuances and precedence of current law as it applies to our case?
I expected all of these things and needed all of these to make decisions about my case, my children and my finances. I do not feel Mr. Kidd provided this information. Mr. Kidd told me when I handed him my retainer, “You are paying me to worry so you don’t have to.” I can say I worried a LOT.
The underlying feeling I have about Mr. Kidds practice based on our interactions over the 10 months, is he is overwhelmed, his work is rushed and feels like it’s all just on the edge of being out of control. I felt if I didn’t stay on top of the case, it would just unravel. I also felt like an ATM.
By now you are likely pondering why I chose Mr. Kidd, and why I didn't seek new representation? I chose Mr. Kidd because during my divorce I needed an attorney to review my filing and represent me in the courtroom during the divorce proceeding. He did a fine job reviewing and filing the paperwork and representing me in court. Because things went so smoothly with a simple uncontested filing, three minutes in front of the judge, and knowing that Mr. Kidd had history with my divorce, it was an obvious choice to go back to him when I was sued by my ex for modification. But, within six weeks of hiring Mr. Kidd, and for some of the reasons noted above, I started to realize that my decision was a mistake. About this time a mediation date was set. There would be long pause in activity and I decided to continue with him until the mediation concluded assuming that it would go well and the case would end.
It did not go well and I soon after sought legal advice from two other attorneys about my case. Both said that it would be unwise to change attorneys this far into the case as the time it would take to come up to speed would be very expensive and considering how close the court date was.
Without going into case details, I didn’t have confidence I would gain anything by going to trial, nor the stomach to keep paying Mr. Kidd, so I cut my losses and acquiesced to the modification.
To summarize this review, if you need somebody to review a simple divorce proceeding file paperwork and represent you in court, Mr. Kidd is your man! If you need somebody who will represent your interest and use his skills, history, and knowledge to help you navigate the drudgery and pain of our legal system in a difficult case, find somebody else.
I feel it’s imperative that I end this review on a positive note: The shining star in this mess is Mr. Kidds paralegal Hailey Ray. I can’t say enough good things about her interpersonal, organizational, and expectation management skills. Hailey is the glue that holds the practice together.
Before I hired Mr. Kidd, I had a bad experience with another lawyer who couldn’t figure a way forward. On two different occasions, my prior lawyer was not available in court and I had to call his office only to be informed that he had a conflict that he never communicated to me prior to court date.
Daryl Kidd and his staff are super excellent with communication. Conflicts were communicated to me prior to court date. I was specifically impressed when they called me on a weekend to check how visitation/parenting time was going with my son the first time I had him after over two years. That shows me how passionate Daryl Kidd is about his clients. He is one great attorney who pays attention to small details without losing sight of the big picture. I’m so satisfied with his performance so much that I decided to use the firm again for the modification of my son’s custody.

I am thankful to Attorney Kidd and the rest of his wonderful team for being so welcoming, helpful, and offering me ongoing support throughout my internship.
Ms. Hailey Ray, the Senior Paralegal, was an amazing mentor and I cannot say enough good things about her. Ms. Angie Silverman, the Legal Assistant was wonderful too and taught me administrative skills that I will need to be successful in my role as a paralegal.
Thank you to everyone at the Law Offices of Daryl L. Kidd for the time you dedicated to me to make sure that I was properly trained and your patience to answer all of my questions.
I would highly recommend interning here if you are a paralegal student or are interested in a career in the Legal Field. I was able to gain practical hands-on experience that I would not have received in a classroom. Once again, thank you for making my internship a rewarding experience.

Daryl not only expertly handled each court appearance – advising us what to expect and what the strategy of the day would be, he also contended with a very difficult opposing family – one that pulled out all the stops, so to speak, to create havoc, and push the boundaries of decorum. His calm, steady, demeanor always evoked confidence.
I highly recommend him to anyone needing family services.
