My only regret is that this review is about seven years overdue. I rarely write reviews, and did the firm a disservice by not submitting any reviews of the great service I received from the Ortiz Law Firm back in 2013. If I recall correctly, he was the only attorney with the firm then. He and his staff were very deserving of a positive review. Today I was reminded of the EXCELLENT service received from Nick Ortiz while looking for an attorney for my VA disability claim (Nick does not practice law in this area, I wish he did), and decided to write the belated review that I should have at the time.

Nick succeeded in getting my Social Security Disability claim approved the first time through. I wasn't getting very far in the initial filing my claim for SSDI benefits, just spinning my wheels trying to navigate SSA's requirements and gathering the necessary records. My physical and mental health had me really stressed out, and I was overwhelmed with just getting by day-to-day. I met with Nick O for a free consultation. He impressed me with his ability to listen and understand my issues and with his track record dealing with the SSA. He had a very pleasant personality, and was easy to talk to. He accepted my case, and handled everything involving my claim.

About four to five months later, my claim was approved! No need to file an appeal or anything else. I was/am extremely pleased with the outcome. His fee was some of the best money I ever spent. He earned every penny of it and then some!

Like other reviewers I was at a loss hot to proceed with a STD disability claim that had been denied. My wife's claim had been denied mainly due to her medical provider submitting improper documentation and unwilling to fix it.

Right from the start Dawn Keller at Mr. Ortiz office returned my call and took the time to listen to our situation. We set an appointment to meet with Mr. Ortiz . Dawn emailed me and questions and ask me to submit some reports and documentation so Mr Ortiz could review our information and be prepared for the appointment. Dawns professionalism was quite encouraging.

Once at the appointment we met Nick Ortiz, Nick is a personable fella that obviously had reviewed the information before our arrival. He afforded us time to explain our situation and he provided great council. We never felt rushed, we felt welcome and left feeling much better than we had in weeks.

We are already putting Nick's recommendations to work and hoping that we will not require further legal services, but if we do I can assure you we won't look elsewhere.

This Thanksgiving I will be giving thanks to Nick Ortiz and Alicia. Mr. Ortiz is hands down the best attorney in his field. Before becoming completely disabled, I worked for an attorney for over 20 years. One of my main skills was research, and I have always been a perfectionist. Thus, when I became disabled, I looked for the best disability attorney. Mr. Ortiz definitely fit the bill. I contacted almost every disability attorney in the Pensacola and Mobile area. Not a single one of the offices I contacted would even set an appointment until after I had filed for disability on my own and received the letter of rejection. Mr. Ortiz was the only one who not only met with me, but filed the initial claim for me as well. He even answered the phone when I called for the first time.

Some of the other offices I contacted before Mr. Ortiz also said that they would not meet with me until I turned 50 years old, with the reason being that it was much more difficult to obtain a favorable Social Security ruling for anyone under 50 years old with my medical problems.
