I was charged with a serious felony a little over a year ago, I chose not to go the route of a court appointed and find my own. I simply googled defense lawyers and I found a different attorney who was TERRIBLE. I ended up firing her and I then found Jack. From the get go they were professional and honest. Phillip is the Associate attorney who helped me the entire time. Phillip was always on time and always up front with me on the facts and what would be the best route for me to take. He knew sometimes when we met after a scheduled hearing I was un easy but he always assured me it would be okay, and it was. Phillip fought for a vigorous 10 months on my case and kept me from having to do even 1 day in jail bc he believed that I was innocent. If I ever had a question I could text or call him or jack and they would always answer. If you’re facing a serious charge and don’t know where to begin I highly recommend starting with them. The Worse Attorney. He collected $20,000.00 to take acre of a simple criminal case. He never, i repeat never reviewed the case file and then he lied that the plea bargain was for eight years probation and he reduced it to four years. Of course later we found out that he just accepted whatever the prosecutor offered. DON'T EVER hire guy not even for a parking ticket. STAY AWAY FROM HIM. STAY AWAY FROM HIM.

By the way, since he never look at the case file, not even once, he kept my son in jail for two months, only to discover later that the charges were false in the first place. I thank God every night that I hired Jack Carroll. When I was arrested I thought my world and way of life was over. Only did a consultation over the phone, but was told by him that my charge SHOULD have been much worst. Is he omniscient? Then proceeding to tell me how important and popular he was and therefore charged high fees. My impression was of a self aggrandazing and greedy lawyer who seems to only care about how much money is in it for him, and not about defending his clients. Would definitely not recommend.

When my neighbors son was arrested and charged with armed robbery we knew it was BS because he's a good kid. I met Jack back in college at the University of St. Thomas in Houston and I knew that he was active in criminal defense cases cause I saw him on the news a few times. When I suggested that she call Jack, I didn't think she would end up hiring him because they did have a lawyer in their family. But come to find out, Jack not only represented my neighbor's son (which we won't name for obvious reasons), but he hired this private investigator from Gradoni & Associates that show up in court, and showed out. If it wasn't for Jack going the extra mile, as I know that only he could do, there's no telling how long they would have had an innocent young man in jail for robbery. The police sholdn't be so lazy. This had to have been an embarrassment, and a slap in the face to the DA we didn't seem to care about the facts, as much as he did a conviction.

Mr. Carroll is one of the best attorneys available in Houston.. I was charged with a DUI with Serious Bodily Injury and Leaving the Scene. I was facing a possible ten year sentence. He worked with the prosecutor to get me a plea of 10 days along with 5 years probation. The Judge denied that plea stating it was too lenient and he wanted the minimum which was over 2 years. My partner got 20 years with a deadly weapon finding, I got deferred adjudication. My case has since been dismissed and there will be no public record of it after Jack files a motion for Non-Disclosure. HO AHH

I've known Jack for 20 years, I met him when my girlfriend and I were outside a club and a football player wouldn't leave us alone until Jack intervened. I didn't know a human could move so fast. I became friends with Jack after that, 20 years later, he's at the top of his game. I picked up a public intoxication case they stripped me naked and put me in a jail cell all night.

When I told him what happened, I saw the same look I saw on his face 20 years ago when tore that football player apart.

He actually showed up in court, demanded a trial, and ended up coming back to court 5 times on my behalf. The prosecutor kept resetting the case, but Jack wouldn't let me plead out, he was that upset about the way I had been treated, after 1 year and a half of going to court, my case was dismissed.
