The worst person you can go to. I did not see all these bad reviews when i tried to contact him the first time. Now he charged me $1,000 and has not responded to calls texts or emails, the phone operators do not even know how to cover up for him. DO NOT GO HERE! STAY AWAY. I will be reporting this to the BBB as well. I suggest you all do so as well.

I have had Joe work on my taxes since 2012. I found him as one of Dave Ramsey's ELPs (Endorsed Local Providers) when I decided I needed an accountant to save my sanity and my wife certainly didn't want to look at dealing with taxes either because she watched how much I suffered. He has reasonable rates and could knock out my taxes in a matter of hours doing what used to take me several weeks by myself. All I had to do was supply him raw data from the bank, investments, and certain requested reciepts. Relief from the awful stress of tax season that used to cause me extreme anxiety and huge headaches, literally, horrible headaches! Joe also knows the tax code so well (and takes the effort to double check certain rules before to make sure deductions can be applied) -- since starting using JAG CPA, I have not had any taxes kicked back or audited. He also lowered my tax burden and got me refunds for deductions I didn't know existed.
In 2014, via his dual practice company Gonzalez Law, Joe created our LLC with 2 DBA companies inside it and did ALL of the necessary Federal, State, County, and Local filing of paperwork. JAG CPA has handled business taxes for for us since year one of starting our small business. He streamlines everything to make the process smooth and explains the legal and accounting jargon in plain English so it makes sense. Gonzales Law is our 'go to' location when we have a legal question; Joe hasn't steered us wrong.
I highly recommend him as a trustworthy, honest, and competent CPA and Lawyer!
Gonzalez law firm has been helping me and my family through a difficult time dealing with my mother's estate and trust. We are in the early stages of our ordeal and Gonzalez law firm has responded excellent to our needs. They have taken many burdens off our shoulders. They are strong yet sensitive to our situation.

My experiance with the Gonzalez Law firm was a good and enlightening experiance. He setup my mothers Will while she was alive then when she passed away in March everything he had set up for her was taken care of which made my job of being the executor that much easier! I will be going back for other services he offers for myself. He is very knowledgable about his line of business and hes a great guy to talk to! Not to mention his team in the office. Emily was great with her emails and super nice to talk on the phone. If you are needing good legal advice or a knowledgable CPA I would recommend Gonzalez Law!

*STAY AWAY!!* Joe is hands down the most unprofessional AND USELESS "attorney" i've ever encountered. You wont get a response via email, phone or mail *FIRST RED FLAG*. If you speak to him on the phone for 40 min he'll round it to 1 hour so he can bill you more, only to end up actually owing money to the IRS because he screwed something up. I read a review on Glassdoor stating that Joe caused someone to lose their home through an auction at the courthouse because he bit off more than he can chew and wanted to try out litigation and he basically just ignored the case and the client until it was too late. anyways stay far far away from this guy. he's a crook & he doesn't do his job very well

All ego with this guy! The billable hours trick - he'll call ya for 45 minutes. Then, he'll round the billable consult to an hour. HUGE invoice in the mail! Complete joke!

On a personal level Mr. Gonzalez is very amicable. On a business level however I must state the office is extremely unprofessional. Spending several thousands of dollars with this CPA/Attorney in the past, I developed a loyalty to cater his services on another legal matter. The bottom line - over 3 months with no service, no replies, no emails, etc. After a few attempts to engage contact, I (the customer) was informed that I had not held my end of the agreement (which I debate as invalid). Long story short, I received a refund LESS his service fees ($350 per hour), costing me close to 2 grand. Now think about this for a minute - spend almost 2 grand - wait almost 4 months - and receive NO service! Ethically, I am very frustrated and saddened by this office. A strong lessons-learned. #1 - NEVER use an attorney based on a referral (without vetting yourself). #2 - always get service costs and labor explained up front. #3 - if you find yourself waiting more than 48 hours without a response - call the attorney/cpa and ask for a refund! Even better, get ready to call the State Attorney Board if you believe you've been had.

Our tax return should be relatively simple - we don't have a business or any complicated earnings or deductions, really. The JAG CPA group managed to screw up some dependent care information, which resulted in the IRS coming back two years later to collect the extra $600 in taxes plus $38 in interest.
For the trouble and hassle of having to pay out this extra sum at such an inconvenient time, I asked JAG CPA for $12. Although they acknowledged the error on their part, they refused the extra request and promised to pay only the $38. That was on about Oct. 25. As of November 30, I have yet to receive the reimbursement for the $38.
They allegedly sent the check to my old home, despite asking for my [correct] address. So apparently they screwed that up, too. I asked them to cut a new check, and despite my promise to tear up the potential extra check, JAG CPA (Joe Gonzalez and office manager TeAnna) has gone silent and stopped responding to me. I guess they are that concerned over an extra $38 they would be paying out if I broke my promise and cashed the duplicate check.
Well I hope they're happy with this review. I gave them about 35 days to sort through this, so now I'm forced to write this up.
I wouldn't recommend them. They are disorganized and offer little in the way of customer service.
