Brenna is someone you absolutely WANT to have on your side when it comes to a custody dispute. From day one of speaking with her on the phone I knew going with her was the best option. Not only did she actually listen to my case and handle it with such grace. I honestly felt 1000% more confident with her by my side than I did with prior represnetation. Her and her firm also have done nothing but made me feel as though I was her only client. I cannot say enough good things about the compassion and the intelligence of Ms. Brenna Loyd and her staff. She navigated very muddy waters in a direct and honest way and approached my case with the diligence that assured I would have many hypothetical outcomes covered. I hired Jeff to represent me in contempt case against my X-wife. He seemed knowledgeable, organized, clean and well rounded. He charged me $3000 for the case which is little more than other attorneys would charge but I was OK with it because I wanted to make sure we nail my X. I had already filed the petition and had all my evidence ready and all subpoenas filed to bring the police to court. All he had to do was to show up and present the case. After I hired him he started telling me we need to trim down the evidence because his excuse was "we might piss off the judge"! He failed to bill me until I brought it to his attention and that's when he slapped together a bill in 30 minutes overcharging for everything for example he charged 2 hours for a 45 min call we made and I have the bill from cellphone company to prove it! He did everything he can to eat up the $3000 by the time the hearing was done.
The other big issue is that He kept taking evidence off my case and trim it down until the judge did not find enough proof to find my X in contempt but The judge awarded me $2200 attorney fees anyway. When he got the check he never gave me a dollar from it! After the hearing he started coming up with creative ways to chew up my $2200 that he was suppose to return to me.
He failed to get me a contempt order on a clean slam dunk case and he never returned the awarded attorney fees to me! I filed a grievance against him with the State bar.
Jeff is lazy and wants to just slap a quick hearing together and overcharge you by inflating his and the paralegal time! Be ware and stay away..

A few months ago I found myself to be a target of the one of the most oppressive and powerful entities in the Texas government- The Office of the Attorney General- Child Support Division. This out of control entity has little to no oversight and is empowered to wreck lives with NO REPERCUSSIONS. I tried to find someone in the OAG management to help correct the situation but that only escalated the attack against me and my livelihood.
