Cara Rowe was a major disappointment in handling our case. She was disorganized, rarely available, and on the day of closing arguments she told the judge she 'just wrote them' the day before. She cost me custody of my child by being unavailable, unwilling to think outside the box, and unopen to any insight, input, or suggestions. Every piece of evidence she had on our side was spoonfed to her, and she still dropped the ball, big time. If you are expecting a contentious custody case, DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY. It became very clear in the midst of our case that she was only after easy money.

Cara walked me through a very difficult process over the course of a year. She and her assistant, Melissa, were always timely with responding to my questions. Don't be fooled by Google reviews! Check facebook and other sources! If I could rate Cara a "0" I would. We have filed a grievance with the State Bar of Georgia due to the poor and unprofessional conduct we received from Cara and Melissa. This was the worst investment my husband and I could have EVER made.

Our ENTIRE retainer was spent not on the case, but on having to send emails and make phone calls to request updates on what was happening to our case.
We had to wait MONTHS in order to get a court date, we were unable to serve the defendant becaue Melissa, is an incompetent paralegal who does not move with any sense of urgency.
The icing on the cake is that when we finally received a 3rd court date, after waiting for 3 months to get it, we received a bill requesting a new retainer of $750 within 2 weeks of the court date!!! We were unable to pay and informed her of such, as a result, Cara REFUSED to represent us, filed a motion to dismiss without our consent aand then turned around and billed us for the phone/email communication!! Effectively using the rest of our retainer and causing us to have a balance owed.
I would NEVER recommend Cara's services and look forward to receiving some sort of justice through the office of General Counsel.
Save your money and do your research but DO NOT RETAIN CARA SPROUSE. And if you are a person of color I would DEFINITELY consider another option as the quality of service amongst her non-white, non-military clients seems to differ drastically from those who are opposite.

I acquired Cara after the first initial hearing of a custody battle. When she looked through the details she was positive that my child wouldn’t be going anywhere. She prepared me for mediations and meetings and told me exactly what to expect and she was right. As long as you’re honest with her she will make things happen. Her communication was amazing and informed you with everything you needed to know. It was a very long process due to the other attorney being hard to get in contact with, but we came out on top.Cara never gave me a reason to doubt her and never had to question her. Be open and honest with her and she’ll get the results you want.

This lawyer took our money and did not represent us in court. When we contacted her. She answered our questions and promised to fight for us. We knew we were in trouble when she seemed to be scared to speak in court. The other lawyer seemed to intimidate her. It was something out this world. To add fuel to the flame. She filed incorrect motions twice. Advice do your research and go to a reputable lawyer. She not only was guided by others in court but would make mistakes with our documents and financial numbers. This is not a review to misrepresent what happened but to bring to light the lack of representation you will receive by this individual.

These reviews say it all. Very poor service. I talked to her assistant more than I ever talked to her. And charged me for random stuff .... late to court... etc..

I definitely wouldn't recommend her. She took my money and was very fake. She back doored me and told the courts that I was ok with changing my child's last name which I never spoke to her about before we went to court also got me some high child support. In my court order the judge said I could have my child support recalculated when I got out of the army in a few months and when the time came she tried to get me for $1000 more. I felt as if she was working with the other attorney against me. I would def not recommend her to anyone!

Very disappointed!!! I was told by Ms.Cara I could get some of my refund back if she could not help me because there was a chance my case would have to stay in the state where it began. I had to call several times just to get paper work to my other attorney. My husband stopped by the office one day to ask about the refund and she kicked him out and on the bill she sent she charged $50.00 just for him asking about it. Very unprofessional I would not recommend anyone to her. She took $2,500 of our money and I could at least got some of it back since all she did was serve a piece of paper. I could of used that money on my kids!! Not only did she take the 2,500 but she sent me a bill saying I owed 169.00 but sayed she wouldn't charge me for that considering I had to start from scratch and get a new attorney and spend more money! Thanks for nothing Ms. Cara Sprouse Rowe!!!
