Mr. Smith is a great attorney. I hired him on several occasions throughout the years and he always represented me with kindness, knowledge and efficiency. He is very mild-mannered but won each of my cases for me. I would recommend him highly if anyone I cared for needed a lawyer who practices family law. Full disclosure: He was such a good lawyer and such a wonderful and kind person, that I ended up marrying him years later! I would like to add that I do all of Tim's support work for him and Tim always welcomes feedback from his present and former clients and any of the former clients that he has who have questions and/or concerns should feel free to contact him and he will be happy to answer any questions and work with them to try and sort out their concerns. There is one former client that I happen to know of who has posted an inflammatory review about Tim that is untrue and very misleading. Because Google makes it nearly impossible to respond directly to clients, and because Tim would never jeopardize a client's lawyer/client relationship, I can only say that Tim wishes him the best in the future and hopes that he finds an attorney that will be able to help him with issues that the former client himself did to hurt his case beyond repair. The former client-in-question put in texts, e-mails and demonstrated during his myriad court hearings things that made it impossible for Tim to get this client's end result that he wanted. There are two sides to every story - and I would say to this particular story (having lived through it with Tim), that the former client has, to say the least, misrepresented, what he terms as the facts. Threatening the lawyer representing your child is never a good idea and Tim tried in vain to communicate that to the former client-in-question. Tim has been a most successful family lawyer for more than 33 years and has many happy clients who remain loyal to him, and it hurts my feelings and seems unfair that someone should be able to write such nonsense in a Google review. There are a couple of other reviews that are less than flattering as well, and, again do not tell the full or accurate story. Family law case are, by nature, emotional, and it is not uncommon for people to take their frustrations out on their attorneys in these cases. Fortunately, Tim realizes this and understands that sometimes venting, even if it is public ind inaccurate is the only way some people know how to deal with their situation.

He did my divorce a while back and everything was done in a timely manner. He got me everything that was asked for in the divorce. I Have and will refer Him to other people that need a good attorney. He has helped out several people that I know and is always willing to work with you financially. I would definitely recommend him.

Had signed a contract to pay him 500 down and 250 a month, kept that agreement for three months until I asked him how much would the rest of the divorce cost and he promised 3500, so I gave him 4500. Add that all up and it comes to 5750 and divide that by 250 and you have 23 months that were paid. He put in a notice of withdrawal because he couldn't ethically take more funds from me after already taking that much, claiming that I wasn't upholding my monetary obligations of our contract. Fails to respond to emails, late to court, doesn't ever remember who hes talking to, even if hes the one who reached out. Failed to notify me as my counsel that admittance was submitted, almost making me miss the 30 day deadline. Luckily I called a competent lawyer and he looked through the system for free. Needs to be barred from practicing law.

Despite the poor reviews, I gave him a shot since he is a member of my local chamber. I prepaid for service, and as the rest of the reviewers stated, no work or proof of work was completed. He is very difficult to reach, and when you do reach him, you have to explain to him who you are in detail.

Was paid and did Nothing, to get child support, doesn’t get it that it’s the children who do without , SHAME on you TIm smith, and will not return phone calls

Never responds in a timely manner, always several weeks after you call. If he gives you a time frame of when he will submit paperwork give him 3-4 months past that. Unreliable, messed up documents by putting a name I never went by and waiting 6+ months just for him to fill out one form for amendment to fix my name. A lot less headache and more appropriate time frame if you found someone else.
