John Pfister has been an exceptional family attorney for me during some seriously tumultuous times. My ex and I have gone through two different modifications (for reasons I will not go into). John overwhelmingly beat both attorneys both times and I now have primary custody of my son. #Fathersrights
A few times I was frustrated about the lack of communication but it turned out that the lack of communication was because there was nothing to tell me. Instead of billing me to tell me nothing he waited until we had a reason to talk. Many people want their attorney to hand-hold them through a very emotional time but that can get expensive. I appreciated that he looked out for my money as well as my child. My ex’s attorney charged her like she was a money printing press. She paid 3x more than I did and John and I had a 100% win in court for my child.
I read another review about John that said all he cared about was winning for his client; um…isn’t that the whole point of hiring him?? Overall he did everything I needed, he got my child everything he needed, he kept me calm throughout the process (even when I was anything but calm), and charged a fair price for an attorney of his caliber.
I highly recommend John Pfister and so do 2 of my friends who have had the same success with him.

John won our case for our daughter..he aims to win...he is a good attorney..and he is well liked in the Collin County County system...He is a little overpriced but..if you want to win..he is the man..if you can tolerate the lady in the office who conviently lost record of half of our payment..for John's ervices..She claims they got a new system for record keeping and when I was un happy about losing record of our payments..she became very rude with us..which is totally unacceptable...but if I wanted to win and had the extra bucks ..I would choose him again..and again,Hence he didnt get 5 stars due to his judgement in his staff selection

If you looked up slime ball attorney in the dictionary you would find a picture of John Pfister. It's attorney's like him that taint they whole bunch. John Pfister cares about one thing, how much money he can extract from each file.
John Pfister will create drama and discontent when there is none and will turn a contentious divorce into all out war all for his financial gain.
John Pfister care nothing about his clients or any kids that may be involved. He cares only about winning and money. Do not ever use any counselor, therapist, or testing company that he wants to use during the divorce. He only uses or recommends people that he has a history of working with and who have found favorably. Especially do not allow him to recommend Shannon Bradshaw as a therapist for for children. You will be hard pressed to find another pair as unethical as these two. In my case, he tried to force us to use her despite there being plenty of other options in the Frisco area. Bradshaw wouldn't even meet with me until I signed the consent forms. Never mind that I have a minor in psychology and wanted to discuss her philosophy on treating children the age of my sons and well as her methods. John Pfister delayed treatement my kids for 7 months because he wouldn't agree to anyone else. Ultimately the judge sided with us and chose someone else. Furthermore, throughout the divorce he never once acted in the best interest of the children.
My ex was ordered to do alcohol and drug testing during the divorce. He insisted on using Forensic DNA in Dallas. The judge ordered that the testing company set the testing schedule. When my ex went to setup up the testing they told the company it was voluntary and never supplied the courts order to the company. This my ex was allowed to set her own testing schedule that was ridiculous. Then when she still failed John Pfister went with her to try and prove that it was mouthwash, toothpaste, and teeth whitening products that were causing her to fail, not alcohol. Never once did John Pfister hold her accountable for her alcohol issues or try an get her into treatment. Furthermore, he endangered my kids by not providing the orders to the testing company and letting her set the ridiculous testing schedule. Three months passed before we found out and the testing that was ordered by the court was finally implemented.
When she was ordered to do a drug test by the end of the day in a court hearing that required her to do 4 random UA's a month, they repeated the same behavior. John Pfister nor my ex told the company it was court ordered or that she was to be tested randomly 4 times a month. I had to call the company myself and send over the court orders to get the random testing implemented.
My ex also stated, as others have, that John and his staff are unresponsive for days at a time. Throughout the process John did whatever he could to run the bill up on my ex to the point her bill was ultimately 3x what mine was.
Under no curcumstance should you hire John Pfister or anyone else from his unethical firm. If your spouse has hired them, be warned that he will attempt to game the system at every turn in order to win and couldn't careless about the best interest of your children.
