Making a call to Nick Nemeth was the best decision I ever made. After years of fighting the IRS myself and getting deeper and deeper into debt with interest adding up to more than I owed to start with I had to do something. Nick's office got the IRS to settle with me for 10% of what they said I owed. Although it took a little over a year it was worth it in the long run. We owed the IRS a tax debt we could not even possibly begin to pay. We had tried dealing with the IRS directly and had talked with another attorney and had been given a dire picture of what would ensue, and were more confused and fearful than when we started. We walked into The Law Offices of Nick Nemeth full of fear and trepidation, not knowing what to expect. The front desk staff were relaxed and professional, and assured us that if anybody could help us, it would be Nick Nemeth. Nick walked into the conference room and was confident and friendly. After talking with us at length and reviewing our files, he told us that we qualified to obtain the rare and coveted Offer in Compromise, which would, if approved by the IRS, result in a one-time payment of a small fraction of our tax debt. After getting a garnishment letter from the IRS, I reached out to Mr Nameth. After a personal consultation by phone (I was on the east coast sweating bullets), he put a stop the same day to the garnishment. My first conversation he told me I couldn't win the Appeal for Offer & Compromise and should offer more money. Long story short I won the appeal through work I did mostly myself. First visit he told me he wouldn't look at my case until I put up a least 1/2 the money. First visit wasn't free as advertised, I was charged in increments even the time it took to fill out his agreement forms. Even charged for an email solicitation from girl in his office wanting to do my taxes. Typical arrogant lawyer with a license to scalp.

Prior to engaging Mr. Nemeth, I retained another large and well-known tax resolution firm. After several months and tremendous fees, I received disappointing results. It was a very rainy day and, after driving several hundred miles, I finally made it home and planned on having a warm meal and, maybe, watching a little television. But before doing so, I went outside to check the day's mail. The usual array of junk mail, with a few bills mixed in, and... is that what I think it is? Yes, it was a letter from the IRS. My heart sank. Oh well, I better open it and see what they want. It was worse than expected. They wanted to review my tax records from a few years prior.

Yes, I was being audited! Fortunately, I had about a month before I had to meet with the agent.
